Met a guy in Blockbuster Last Night... He had a 07 C6 Z06. He was a middle aged gentleman, probably around 55 or so I would say. I gave him the change he needed to finish his movie sale. Well anyways, he said thanks I owe you. I said neh, you can just let me rip that car around the block. He said sure, well I really didn't want to rip a 30mile (literally this thing was brand spanking new) z06 around the block and I was with like 7 people, so I didnt, but he was talking to me and he said that he took it to some vette place and he got a "cold air induction" and a borla muffler. Well anyways, he said it made "670 horse on the dyno down in wallingford there" I was like, wow thats impressive, those things dyno like 440whp stock. He's like yeah well this borla muffler really helped a lot. "I also gots this hydrualic clutch" me- oh yeah, I have one too on my car. "No you see this is a special one, it adjusts when the clutch is worn so you get a longer life out of the car" Well anyways, he gets in the car, starts backing out (while revving it to the moon) and then stalls it as he almost backs into a car. Restarts it, and stalls it again. Goes out, pulls onto the main drag, Farmington avenue, probably ran the car up to an easy 5krpm before he shifted. i was laughing, even my girlfriend was laughing.

We got to talking and I was telling how much HP and how fast the '03 Vette was. I got a kick out of one of his comments.

He probably uses some of his numbers from that day after he realized there are much bigger dogs running around on the street. We had another vette on the dyno pushing somewhere in the 600's as well.....uncorrected numbers.

I love that. I was talking to a lady I work with that owns an 07 C6. She parked right next to my vette that day, and was shocked I was the one who owned it. 
But we start talking and I tell her about my car, and all my mods. After I finish, she says "Do you need a key to start it?" I'm like "Ahh.. yeah." She smirks and feels all proud of herself. So I say "When you really want to go fast, give me a call. I'll hook you up with my buddy." Of course she's like "Nah. It's fast enough." But I still got to give her props for going out and buying a vette.

I kinda chuckled but he definitely didnt know what he was talking about. Cool car for sure, but total TOTAL idiot.
