Those times are about right.

When my car was bone stock I was running 13.4's at 104 on 2.0+ 60's.

A converter will be the biggest help at the track, more so than any cam.
If you're interested I got my old TCI SSF3500 that I took out this spring with about 8k miles on it. It was fine when I took it out and I ran the times in my sig with it.

2.137 was best 60'

13.73@104.40

80° and humid as hell. I think your auto did fine

edit he has a black - not red

Yeah one of my friends with an m6 with gears also ran 13.7 at 104, he has a black SS. That's good to know that I am around the same as an m6, with a little less mph though. Hopefully I'll be able to make up for it soon.

Due to drive train parasitic power loss, you should never out mph a similarly modded m6 car, but you should be able to out ET given the suspension, tire, gearing and stall of the car.

I would consider getting Danno's converter, or any converter as long it was contaminated (i.e. blown transmission), If anything a shift kit (trans-go) and a tranny cooler (B&M) should certainly be added even before the stall, this will help in tranny life and quicker shifts.

I actually have a tranny cooler at my house waiting to go in with the ls6 intake. I am still considering the torque converter, I heard it's a night and day difference but I'm also worried about the stock rear I've heard horror stories and am thinking it might be better to take it easy on the launch's, but idk still something I am def. considering.

You put a 4000 converter in the car and a set of gears and a sticky tire and I bet that you can lop over a 1/2 second off what the car has already run with no problems.

I can think of a 1/2 dozen other things you can do that will drop the times as well. when your'e ready for the converter, get ahold of eastside and get the car tuned (will need it so the shift points are right) after you've gotten the converter in and the gears swapped if you are gonna do that too... and I am 100% sure that you can get that car to a 12.5 or better before you put a cam in the car.

I am somewhat interested but you live pretty far from me, how much are you selling it for?

Went back to the track today, couldn't resist I heard it was gonna be cooler outside so...

2.0 60ft

13.429@103.06

The bad news (for me anyway) is on the way home, I got a big ticket going down the hill on the highway, it says massachusetts uniform citation, he clocked me at 91mph. Looks like I will need a lawyer and hope I don't have to take driving courses or loose my license. Does anyone know what a citation is? I can't remember if that is a court summons or not, I don't see a price on it so I am assuming it's a court summons, do not pass go, go straight to the prosecuter. This is gonna put my modding plans to a hault until I take care of the ticket because of money and because I can't risk getting another one while this one hasn't been taken care of yet, so no more street racing for me, and I'm even hesitant on going down to the track because it's so far away and I doubt I'd be doing 60-70mph the whole way, but who knows I am getting pretty hooked on going to the track, I just wish it wasn't so far, maybe if I make a big music cd I can cruise down and relax without trying to go over 80mph to get there faster.

Jeesh. You need to see if MA and CT are reciprocal states. This means that they share Motor Vehicle information. If they are- be prepared to do some fighting in CT. If not- then you should be good to go. AFAIK, its better to get a ticket out of state because your insurance doesnt do checks in other states and wont know unless you tell them about it.

Not at all, this is my first speeding ticket, I had a racing ticket way back a few years ago that got dropped. My only other ticket ever was that red light ticket on the pike, I didn't exactly fly through a red light, I was taking a u-turn at the light towards mcdonalds at the last minute and it turned red.

But if this ticket doesn't get dropped, I'm sure my insurance will go through the roof.

edit: Wholy **** I found the price...it's not a court summons, says $260, i'll still fight it but since it's not a court summons it'll make it easier. Damn what mph do you have to be at for it to be more than just a ticket?

What did the cop actually write the ticket for? What was the posted limit?

65mph, now it make's sense, i heard it has to be over 30mph for it to be reckless driving. Close call...but the prosecuter sure isn't gonna like it...

I know for a fact that if you just pay the ticket, it will not show up on your CT drving record. I have gotten tickets in mass before and if you just pay it Ct will not be notified. hell I even know a guy that got a DWI in mass, had to go thru the driver retraining course and **** for mass, but his CT driving record doesn't have any record of it.

Pay the ticket and stop speeding in mass, I'm not sure how it works if you fight it, if you fight it and lose CT may be notified, not sure though.

You go to the track so you can speed like it's noone's business... no need to do it on the way there or the way back.
