Congrats again... That car was ripping. I'll post a bunch of video's from this weekend tonight. I don't have the big wheelie or the 9.1 pass because my girl was sleeping on her camera duties. But I do have your 9.9 motor pass and the pass when we both broke out....

Im 99% certain he had them re-welded and they've been holding up fine. I do remember him saying they're going to be coming off next year in favor of something else though..

thanks guys. im pumped. that car is rippin good.

as for chevy fest. im planning on it. im going tommorow to get bars for it i hope. should have them on by the weekend.

the 1.3 60's my 9.3 pass on the posted vids in timmys post was a 1.33 60 foot not lifting.
the 200 shot and the 1.30 60 was with a 10th delay on the nitrous, and i lifted, so hopefully with bars i can take the delay out, and stand on it and it should run 1.2x 60's!

we'll see.

as for the heads, yes im still running the junk afr heads. the guy that rewelded them was real good and they seem to be working right now.
knock on wood.

if timmy desides to step up to a solid roller, these heads might go on his car!!!

i love solid rollers, but having to adjust the RR's every 500 miles gets annoying for a daily driver. i did it with my nova

you dont have to on a race car. ever few times i race, i pull the covers, check them and move on. so far they have not changed since i put the motor back together. (atleast 15 passes ago)

yea, im very upset about it and keep putting it off and putting it off, getting the headers in/out of that car is such a nightmare, gotta use a pry bar and engine hoist just to do the driver side =( but if ya dont keep the engine mounts in then it doesnt sit right and ya gotta start all over lol. the passenger side has to go in at same time as motor or u will never get it in. im very scared of it again ;(

that sucks. what setup is it?
sounds like a **** design. hell, my car has no room under the hood, and i could come to your house leave my car home. close my eyes, throw as hard as i could my headers and they would probably go right into my car. lol

77 nova, 468 ci BBC, hooker comp headers 1 3/4" i beleive, my buddy had them in his garage and they seemed to fit the best with out goin with a custom built header. but the main problem wasnt really the header its the size of the freakin motor in the car lol!
all buttoned up

dropping it in

hood on and everything ready to go except the billet grill

looks good.
i see your issue tho. basic headers.
you need a set for the car. that will make things easy.
they will have removable tubes ect and go in 10 minits easch.
whats that car making for power? what are your goals?

the car dynod at 730 rwhp and 760 rwtq, and it was breaking up top end and had a serious vibration(due to crank) the car was supposed to make around 900 so i dont know if its just the crank or what.
