What tires did you go with this time?

Other then BMR LCA's, anything else?

What PSI on said tires.

What Launch RPM.

And were burnouts done with the help on Line lock or did you foot brake it?

just sub frame connectors and lca's, i was running 16 psi on a set of mickey thompson radials and launching at about 3500 ish. i have a linelock kit and i did some nice 7 second burnout but the tires just wouldn't hook, i think it was the way i was launching, i ended up slipping the clutch the last run and got the 11.9

The car needs a Adjustible TQ arm and LCA relocation Brackets, if I recal 9" don't have in their casting lower mounting holes.

Also some long burnouts will help too.

If you have M/T ET radials, they are a hell of a tire. I make stockish power and I couldnt get mine to hook even with a Adjustible TQ arm and relocation brackets until I did a proper burn out. I did a 5000 rpm clutch dump and it dead hooked to a 1.82 with making like I said stock power + whats in the sig and running on a stock/unmodded tune. If I went off the limiter, it prob would have ran a 1.7X

The last thing to think about is the quality of track, the track temp and if ricers are dragging water off of the box, those dont help either. When you burn out, its ok to spin for a split second in the box and roll to the burn out pad, do the burnout and roll out and you should feel the tire BARK and grab hard.

Nice, even with the stock heads. I guess you figured out the coil code?

As for 60's just keep practising. They will get better and so will the times. No need for suspension stuff till you can feel what the car is doing, then control it.

FYI-I ran 1.80 60's with my stock Firehawk tires. No need to mask driving yet with a slew of suspension and tires.6 speeds take finess.

well wefigured out that the scan tool i have letters the coils instead of numbering them, so we swapped the #5 coil to the #4 coil spot to see if it would act up on the #4 spot and the code hasnt come up since. im thinking it was just the way the coil was grounded on the bracket.

Nice time man... Congrats on joining the 11 Second Club. Hopefully my stay in the 11's will end this upcoming Sunday.

Don's got a damn good point there. My GTO is on all stock suspension with a simple addition of drag bags! Tire choice plays a big role too unless you like to learn the specific launch with what you have, (ditch the Automatic made tires for some real slicks). Watching the video footage I can gather what the car needs to go quicker as well as the feel while driving... Next year is going to be DAMN FUN!!!

Agreed. Take notes from Ranger in his Z06. His clutches have looked great after hundreds of track passes with incredible 60' times. Not many can drive like Ranger and Don though....

It's just practise and alot of it.I see people here getting faster all year with no car changes, just driving technique's.The advise I give is to run your car stock with stock tire's/clutch as much as you can to get the feel of launch. Then when you add power, tires, suspension you can feel the difference and drive with it. You see a ton of people add all the parts and run slower, then blame the car.

Mike- you get that damn clutch in yet!!!!
