94 Blazer with no title?

I'm looking at a 94 Blazer that was purchased for a parts car and the title was lost and never transfered over... Now what I'm wondering does anyone have any advice on obtaining a title? is this even possible? I'm wondering because it's a rare 6.5 Turbo diesel... Only the truck has a blown motor but he only want's $500 and the body only has 140K on it so it would be a good project truck to rebuild the motor on

Go to the local DMV and inquire about it, or go online to their site, usueally they will give you some direction.

if you have the name and contact info of the person the car was last titled to you can talk to them about obtaining a replacement title certificate to sign over. there is usually just a fee and a form to deal with.

sorry, forgot about the thread.

your local DMV or pretty much any police officer friend should be able to run the title information of the vehicle based on teh vin#
