Yeah when I got mine, I got it from SonyStyle online, and applied for the sony card. Got $150 off.

So I got the 60 gig PS3 for $350 to my door. It had just dropped to $500. They had the $150 CC deal w/ 0%, Free shipping and 5 free Blu-Ray movies. Think I got a decent deal.

Then I put a 2k TV on the 0% card, Doh

I gotta get it paid off to buy a new rear for the car and then a new daily driver, not in any particular order.

 

I wouldnt get resistance, I played it for a while and thought it sucked. For those that say ps3 is built for the future, it has already come out that there was not enough RAM to run Assassins Creed lol, I found that interesting. They also said they had trouble fitting it on the 360 disc.

 

Mmmhm I may change Resistance to CoD4 or Haze..... mmhmm Halo 3 Killer.

 

so there is a game comming out tommrow that the ps3 cannot run???not enough ram?? i was going to pick this game up.

 

How about Forza 2? Can you play that on PS3? Didn't think so! J/K I own a 360 and it is great, although even at high resolutions there are some jaggies of models (anti alising isn't on in some games). PS3 seems more powerful and is a great system, but it just doesn't have enough games out for it yet.

 

Don't be alarmed. They have worked with Sony to get through the memory issues. The company has stated the PS3 version is not inferior to the 360 in fact will run and look the same. What the memory issues are is unknown, it could be amount or how they are using it, I dunno. What I do know is that they are also having issues fitting the game on the 360. It won't fit on the DVD. I dunno if they are removing content or what, but other games on the horizon like the next Unreal Tournament will have a lot of missing material due to media size contraints. Also UT on the PS3 is suppose to surpass the visual quality of Gears of War. Guess we'll see.

It's the split memory architecture on the PS3, The PS3 allocated memory for certain processes, while the 360 more or less leaves the majority of it available for the developers to play with. The memory is more constraining on the PS3 as it requires the applications to change how the memory is allocated and used. One thing to note though is the PS3 memory is significantly faster than the 360 DDR3 memory, and that they both use 512meg's. For now it does seem easier to code on the 360, that is if the game fits on the DVD.

Ya, Assassins Creed should run just fine on PS3, they were just having problems. Neither system is perfect, like I said. I would seriously pick up COD4 I really enjoyed it.

Half Life/Counter Strike. Is pretty much the cream of the crop FPS. Especially online. Much bigger calling than Halo.

I haven't played the last Halo, but I was never a fan of previous ones. I thought they were just ok, the vehicles made it fun.

Zman, motorstorm is fun but I would only give it an ok. I did not buy it myself but have played the demo. It's a lot like the old Jet Moto, It will be one of the 1st games to come down in price, wait till it hits >=$30 if you want it.

I just finished COD4, Great game, but the single player is a little short. The quality and contect is really good though. Highly recommend it for either system. (I usually am really harsh on FPS, so it's saying a lot).

For driving games I really like Dirt on both systems. It's a decent mix of sim/arcade.

I also like Rainbow 6 Vegas, even though it's on both systems. If you are looking for PS3 excusive titles I'd probably get Heavenly Sword (kinda like GOW) and this other game coming out Uncharted looks promising. Assassins Creed is out today so I would probably look into that. I've played some basketball demos and like em' too, I hear NBA2k8 is the best.

NFS Pro-Street is also out today, I'd wait for reviews though. Carbon sucked.
GT5 should be out for Xmas

All these new and complicated game's, I'm one of those older game fans who liked game's like the original DOOM, where u don't have to aim up and down, lol.

My brother has the 360. I like the online interaction with other people. My favorite game is gears of war.

 

Half-Life deff best fps ever. Halo is fun but a bit overated if you are a pc fps player. I guess pc has half-life and xbox has halo, to each their own. I play both though

 

Once I have video card worthy enough, Crysis is supposed to be the best PC FPS EVER! We'll see.

 

Yeah crysis poops on a lot of computers now lol. Yeah I wasn't a big fan of half life but counterstrike is awesome. I jump on every now and then and play it...anyone from here still play that?
