Gates part numbers tell the tale.. the amount of ribs and length are in the part number.

thats really short.. but yeah, any Autozone should have something DAMN close if not that exact belt, its nothing special.

Im thinking pn is 305K6 for a AZ belt (duralast) and something like 305600 for a gatorback, something like that.

Come to think of it the belt needed to run just the alt and a crank pulley, that's a short one but I dunno if it's that short....

Couldn't you just put a 4 rib belt on the center of the pullies to do that too, or is there a reason that won't work?

Like I said, the k6 and 600 = 6 rib, the 305 = 30.5"... most belts follow that.

In NJ the Clifton Autozone Store is a "Feeder" store - with the most stock and just look up the part on your own and go with the P/N

Yeah I used to pretty much run the store I worked at. Ask JL, lol!

I was the go-to guy and everyone always waited in my line when they needed a one-off part. There was a guy building up a 34 t bucket for a while and he was always bringing in old brake parts and whatnot and asking me to match stuff up. I actually knew how to use the books and if I didn't have the part in my store (we were a feeder too) I knew where you could go to get it at least.

Trust me- find yourself a good guy to go to and stick with him- parts guys will do you right- any time he/she can. I always had two people I would call- the feeder store for Advance and the Napa hub- and I knew guys there by name and would call them up and get them business- and they would do the same for me. You just gotta figure out who is who and get in good with them.

Autozones and crap suck. I use a local shop that doesn't question and just gets it. The # should be 600305.

I'm stuck dealing with 5 local parts stores, we have to drive down there and get the parts our self. even when you give them a part # they want a aplication anyway, then they say thats not the rite part for that car!!!

I usually go to our Napa which is run by the large car dealership in the area (Fred Beans) that has like 25 dealerships. They used to have a guy that worked the counter that knew his stuff and could help you get just about anything. They aren't the cheapest for normal tuneup stuff, but for parts you need, they are great. Only downside, they close at like 4 on Saturdays and aren't open Sundays. So anything you need for a weekend project you have to get early or else it waits till Monday.

If you find someone that carries dayco the part # would be 5060305. I know what you mean about the guys at parts stores. I am a manager for A&A auto parts a northeast chain started by Joe Amato and owned by Keystone Automotive. I like working there mainly because we are speed shop/hard parts store. Its hard to find good workers these days with how much they want to start people out at. I usually end up hiring kids in school or just out of school. Most dont know a whole lot about cars but sometimes I do find a motorhead to hire which helps.

Scratch that I looked and found out daycos closest belt to that size would be a 5060295 which would be an inch shorter or a 5060317 which is 1.2 inches longer. You might be able to use one of these if you have alot of adjustment.
