Remove your head from your ***... I said they are the best out there... not the best to ever play together in history. They have had one year together... which BTW set records that are now in history as the best single seasons as far as TD's. I am guessing you arent a football fan or watch any games right? Moss didnt have a weaksauce post season... he caught just about everyball thrown to him. Teams schemed to take him out of the game with 2 and 3 defenders, so Brady threw it to the other receivers.

And considering how well the Giants played in January, this wasn't the Pats worst game of the year. The Giants looked better the Patriots in January. They Pats didn't exactly look great at the end of the regular season either, a horrible Baltimore team nearly took them out.
Didnt the non playoff Vikings put a schilacking on the Giants home... I know what the score was... something like 38-3 or something? Whether they looked lack luster or not compared to the Giants, remeber what conference the Giants play in. They have more beatable teams in the NFC then the AFC.

Kind of funny to hear a Pats fan talking about superbowl flukes. You have 3 superbowl rings by a COMBINED total of 9 points. Yes, real dominating superbowl team you have there!
Ummm... yeah... I am guessing you didnt watch the games. Pats were the underdog in the first game and punch St. Louis in the mouth. The Rams tied the game with less than 2 minutes left (this means the Pats were winning up to that point). They drove down and one by a field goal by a kicker that only wins games... hard to call that field goal a fluke.

The Panthers game, Pats were 14-2 regular season. The were in the lead and the Panthers came down to tie with ~2 minutes left (this means the Pats were up in the game... no fluke plays there). They drove down and kicked a field goal for the win.

Eli is weak under pressure? Didn't he throw two touchdowns in the 4th quarter against your team? And who's fault is it your defensive back dropped a sure interception? Sounds to me like one of the teams is weak under pressure, but it sure wasn't the Giants.
Hmm, 3 disgustingly thrown ***** in the last drive in which 2 Pats defenders almost intercepted, and one jump ball in the middle of the field hoping his receiver could outjump the defender.... yeah, thats Eli making bad decisions that ended up, by luck, not costing him anything. He went from goat to hero... whats funny is sportscenter isnt showing the two almost intercepted ***** in that drive because they dont want to make the "MVP" look bad. Hobbs got burnt on the final TD pass, thats all on him. How does someone fall for a shoulder fake on the inside when you know its going to be a fade route. The sad part is the fans knew where the ball was going but the coaches/defense didnt?

The biggest factor in the game wasnt the Pats being outplayed. They were out coached. They made no pass protection adjustments until the last drive of the 4th quarter when they scored. Props to the Giants coaching staff.

And I say current because as soon as the team goes to their losing ways (which will be happening any year now, their moment in the spotlight is over), the current Patriots fans won't be Patriots fans anymore. If 2001-2008 has taught us anything, it's that Boston's only a sports city when their team is winning

BTW, my favorite all-time athlete is Billy Buckner. I love what he did for the city
This shows you are tool. Boston is one of the biggest sport cities in the world. When the Giants suck next year, you better hope Buffalo or the Jets are winning, that way you have a team to cheer for.

Not sure you were watching the same game I was. Did you see the 3 poorly thrown ***** (1 jump ball and two that were dropped by defenders). He got lucky on all 3 *****... one was caught and 2 were dropped.

and I'm not even a Giants fan.
Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. On that day, the Pats luck ran out.

lol it's good to see all you giants fans are classy in your victory. Giants played a great game and had the personnel to put pressure on brady. O-line played like *** and Belichick made alot of bad coaching decisions in that game(left hobbs out on an island against burress on that last play and blitzed the safeties, going on it on 4th and 13, not upping the protection on brady and lots of other bonehead, cocky manuevers) I personally lost alot of respect for him for doing what he did at the end of the game. Atleast Brady, Moss, Harrison etc... were very classy in their defeat. And Kenny_H you said the pats got caught taping the walkthrough before the rams superbowl. Actually they found evidence quite the contrary to that and have evidence of someone spying on the pats from the rams in the last walkthrough before the game. Get your facts straight before you start spewing off at the mouth. Anyways congrats to the G-men and their fans on the victory.

Blah Blah Blah, you shouldnt be worrying about Boston/New England sports teams. For the amount of teams you have to cheer for you dont have a lot to celebrate huh? Nets = , Knicks = , Jets = , Yankees havent done anything in a while except employ a bunch of steroid heads, Mets blew a post-season spot last year with a Greg Normanesque collapse (although do look promising with Santana, ill give you that), the Giants are the only good thing you have going right now...

Rumor... although he probably cheated and helped the Giants win their bowls baxck in the day.
You have no leg to stand on dude... get real. Open a paper or read online and check his winning percentage in the regular season with the Pats and in the post season.

I am sure if Tom knew he would have one offensive line blocking for him in the superbowl, he wouldnt of said that. At the end of the day, his is still one of the best QB's in football.
How do you know the Pats cheating had no impact on any game this season? What about last season....and the year before that....?

I don't need to read papers everyday or look online to know the superbowl winner hasn't come from New England in 4 years.

And who's fault is it the offensive line broke down? Since Bellicheck is the great coach ever, shouldn't he have developed a little better game plan? Anyone who saw the Giants play in January knew their defensive line was playing well.

And yes, Brady is probably the best QB in the league right now. Unfortunately the last 3 years he has watched Rothlesburger, Peyton, and now Eli walk away with the trophy....

How often did Jerry Rice get shut down in the postseason? Great players get it done in the post season, regardless. How many catches, yards, and TDs did Moss have in the post season?

Wow.
My hat is off to the Pats. 18-1 is a really great season. Moss really came around this season. Anyone remember him trying to run over a parking enforcement officer?
Whatever Belicheck is doing, it is working.

Just remember, you can't spell 'Massachusetts' without 'asshats'.

Thanks

I don't cheer for any North Jersey or New York teams. I live in South Jersey. If you knew anything about sports, you'd know South Jersey follows Philadelphia teams. I only watch baseball and football (all other sports are blow) and I don't care for the Eagles, either.

So what's your point?

Some people in this thread need to seek therapy. Really, it is a game and the team that was supposed to win didn't. That happened because they were outplayed. Simple easy to understand. If you do not understand this then you need help. While plenty of players have removed themselves from the Probowl I think it is pretty messed up that Brady and Moss did it when they did. Add to that their attitude when they lost and it gives people a reason to bash them. The Pats are a great team and they will be back it was one game after they had a great season. The Giants came ready to play and did. Unfortunatly if recent history repeats itself then they won't do much next year. My team will more than likely continue to suck next year so I will once again be a neutral Superbowl watcher. Raiders are the greatest team ever!!!
