When you get your car teched in you tell them you want to run the QT8. You go to the assigned lane. We should get one time run and then 2 qualifing runs. If you dont make the field you can go to the brackets. Hope that clears things up. If anyone has any questions just come and ask me.

Do we have to make 2 qualifying runs, or can I just make one (providing it's fast enough to make the field)
I really don't need to test the car at this point anymore, I already know what to expect from it, and would just as soon keep the runs on it at a minimum.

Schedule is for 10 AM gate opening...might be a little before though.
Usually we are in there half hour os so before they start running as they give us a little time to get through tech.
Since you only want the one qualifier, you can likely get away with coming in a little later though I would not personally chance it.
I usually try to arrive an hour so before gate open and wait outside. Gives me plenty of time to setup and tech and not risk missing a shot.

O.k. the gates open at 10, that's fine, I just wanted to try to figure what time I need to leave by, means I better be out of the house on my way by 6, because the NYC traffic I will hit, is a little of an unknown, I've been thru NYC in a 1/2 hour, and I have seen it take 2 hours.
It's about a 3 to 4 hour ride, depending on the traffic for referance.
I only want to make one run because I'm not changing anything on the car that's gonna take any runs to get figured out, it pretty much runs like clockwork, whatever it does off the trailer, it's gonna be within a tenth or 2 all day, it hasn't surprised me in 2 years I don't expect it to start now.

I have to go pick chef up on my way there, and he's down off I95 in milford, so I'm already right there on I95. I could go around, but to be honest every time i try, it always seems to take just as long.
I go right down I95 over the GW and right down to exit 9 off the jersey turnpike... that's the easiest way for me to get there. Shortest too, it's only 157 miles one way with the given route.
