Beater(Daily Driver) Pics Thread, Post 'Em Up!!!
I searched the forum, and there seem to be a lot of seperate posts or threads with pictures of Northeast beaters. I'd like to see a lot of them in one thread. Post up pictures, year mileage, and a short summary of your experience with the vehicle for information. I appreciate it, because sometimes I like honest opinions on daily drivers. I'll start off.
1994 Ford Exploder Sport
V6 5-spd, 129k miles.
I love this truck for just about everything. Other than a few suspension problems, it has been great. Awesome motor.

Thought I had a pic of it by itself, but it must be on my computer at home. I'll swap this pic out when I get home, but it's the blue 88 Formula third in line. And it doesn't like this snow storm we're getting today.
305 TBI A4 - Stock except for Edelbrock Tubular Headers, hi flow cat, and a Hooker catback. It did 16.4 @ 82 bone stock and then 15.79 @ 87 after the exhaust. As slow as it is, I was pretty impressed with the gain from just an exhaust - 7 tenths and 5 mph.

My beater/daily driver...97 z28 convertible...which doesnt exactly like snow either but it is fun to have both in the summer. I like it because it has factory red interior which i have never seen on another one before. Its basically all stock besides a cold air and a catback, A4. Somehow i fit a W7 in the trunk which sounds amazing.

Here is a shot of the red interior, it has 30th logos imprinted in the headrests. This car will probably be for sale soon if anyone is interested. I bought it at the auction and put a motor in it and it has been mint for the last 10,000 miles. Very reliable but not so good on fuel.

I have had my fair share of "beaters", but I consider this more of a "daily driver" haha just sounds better since it cost more than $500 lol. Its a Chili Pepper Red 2000 Durango SLT 4.7L 4x4 (looks great parked next to my SOM Z!). I picked this puppy up back in October for $7000. The thing looked showroom new, but actually had 103K on the clock when I got it (about 108K now). Not too shabby looking for 100+K.
And of course here are my beaters I have had in the past lmao...
1995 Mitsubishi Mirage S 1.5L 5-spd (paid $450 + $100 for wheels):
1990 Ford Escort LX 1.9L auto (paid $300):
1984 Chevy Caprice Classic wagon 305ci (paid $350):
1993 Eagle Summit DL 1.5L 5-spd (paid $600):
1994 Ford Escort LX 1.9L 5-spd (paid $700, came with the ZX2 wheels):

It's all about the tires, my Z28 (on four true (not all seasons) snow tires) LOVES the snow, I was out in over 6 inches of it (a patch of over 8 inches right in front of my parking spot) for a while earlier today and the car hooked flawlessly.

2007 TBSS Not the original beater but a much nicer improvement from the first. Lows to suck high test to the tune of 14.5 mpg but I love it to death.
1989 Ford Ranger 2.9L V-6 206k miles A4. Had this old girl since December 1997. Has never let me down. Been sitting for 2 years now with the exception of maybe 500 miles. Gotta love being deployed.
Also have a 2006 BMW 325i M6, but that is the wify's ride so I wont technically count it LOL

I work in a steel mill, so using, or even claiming to use my Camaro as a daily driver/beater would be an outright lie. I do take it to work on a Saturday every now & then.

The old beater was a 2003 F-150 Lariat Edition with 5.4 and 35" Mickey Thompson MTz's
At one point it was black
