Default Anyone have a transmission jack i can borrow?

im looking for a tranny jack to borrow for like a week... i will slip u some cash if neccesary its just i need one to do it cuz im doing it on jackstands in my driveway...

I have an ATV jack that works great for jackstand trannny swaps. Hopefully I wont need for a couple weeks. PM me if you want to borrow. Im in Taunton Ma

ive got a good trans jack you can borrow. every week end i shoot down to the plymouth MA area. let me know if can help.

how high do u have to get the car on jackstands to get the tranny out from underneath with ur tranny jack omec?

not to sure. the jack sits about 12 in unjacked. its one of these :

You dropping a T56? I managed to get it done using 2 jacks, one on each end and dropping it very slowly. Then had a beefy buddy bench it back into place while I tightened the bolts. So it's doable without one, though a trans jack sure makes it easier.

i have a big tranny jack and a motorcycle lift you could come grab the motorcycle one should work on jack stands.

i could put in and take out the t56 w/o the jack (but why work harder if you dont have to) but im glad i had it when i removed the 4l60e! bitch is heeeeeavy.

its a 4l60e..... i think i might just put a piece of board on a floor jack and lower it down like that..... but who knows... i could only manage to get the car like 15 inch off the ground.... so any tranny jack that isnt like super short wont work at all

you should be able to go to sears and buy the attachment that fits on a regular floor jack

I have the one that goes on the regular jack.. its kinda a pain in the *** ( I actually own one that I bought online). I would suggest trying to borrow brad's if he has a motorcycle jack thats only 3" tall...

alright thx specialized for the advice... i might just try to put anice piece of plywood on a reg floor jack and see if i can lower it down evenly like that... if it seems too much of a pita im gonna swing down to danvers to grab that motorcycle jack from brad

the wood wont work i tryed that a while back. i ended up beanch pressing it to my chest and yelling like a girl till the guy nextdoor came over. when he got here i told him to pull my feet and whalla it was out. lol

Im around tonight and tommorow night. i will be working on my car and sled tonight and sled only tommorow. after that, im not home till next week. i cant promis i can dig it out, my right arm is pretty much useless from my accident, so you may need to move a couple things but not a big deal. let me know.
