i also didnt melt a set, and my car ran and runs perfect so (me) my tuner did a fine job the head had week spots and i found them. its old news so no sence in you beating a dead horse

and i didnt go with the etp canted valve set up because i dont have the cash to buy those heads, so i went with the best ones i thought to work with my set up and after a long time lots of research and lots of back and forth with tea, dart, etp etc etc. i decided for my budget these heads would be best, and from what ive seen so far i think i made a pretty wise move

as for bold statements, you made some in your post as well, are you player haten on tf because you are a for AFR??

if you aint got nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself thanks you. that is all

im a nut swinger for afr you mean im not a nut swinger for tea or tfs? you keep forgetting we flow heads around here like you melt motors, im not saying tfs suck, im just saying that apples to apples I would choose afr over tfs, tony does excellent upgrades to his heads as well as porting and last time I checked tony mamo actually has a vette and races it with solid roller **** and his cathedral port stuff isnt anywhere near 730 lift I just cant believe you have a solid roller 427 with a 700+ camshaft and your worried abut saving a few bucks on the heads wich is the one of or not the most important part of making it work, either way good luck on not living up to your potential for another year

haha, your to much, all 1 motor i melted, so you have flowed one set of heads and your a pro. lol

as for my car, i did my motor with the $$ i had thats why i ran my old heads. this year i dont have 5k to spend on heads, so im doing what i can. i live up to what i want and can afford to live up to. i set personal goals and could care less if it impressis people or not. it is what i do for fun, and for a backyard mechanic and a home built race car i think i do ok for myself at 27 years old, so go flow some heads.
and thanks for the good luck wished, it meens alot

nothing is wrong with melting motors but there is something wrong with welding coolant passages shut on your car and still pushing coolant? Im all about burning **** up to push the limits but no matter what there is still a right way and a wrong way to do it, maybe thats wht the 3000 pound racecar runs high 8's once with a 427 solid roller?
