should be pretty bad ***, Flow is in the 350's @ .600
TEA is going them up for me good for the high rpm, 730+ lift cam, so teamed up with that, and the new 2" kooks, im thinking i should see a pretty good power increase. we'll see

i should have them in a couple weeks. once i get them, all im waiting on is my new fuel cell to be made which should also be about 2 weeks, 3 tops. once thats done. im ready to fire he off and weather pending be ready to race mid april. im pretty happy about this year, i hope it goes well

If I can't get my dam ETPs in a couple weeks, I am breaking down and going with the TFS. Just hate the fact that I have to spend $400 on new rockers

unless there square ports I cant see them living at 700 for you to be able to use a 730 lift cam? I dont know of any cathedral port heads flowing in that range but it sound like that is the shiznit for sure, I have a local guy that builds big pontiac old school **** dying to tryout some 700+ lift camshafts in some of our stuff but I am going to wait untill the new hotness comes out

If you look @ the flow on the ET 240's that I am running they start to back up at about 700, flow peaks at about 650.

It is possible for a bigger port to carry the flow #'s into that range.

yeah I was one of the first ones to have those ET 240's and and flowed them locally, mine didnt peak at 650, it was more like 625 and then it flattened out at 650 and started to flip so I would think there isnt enough lash in the world to make carry those 240's in the 700+ range.

what's everyone's opinion on AFR225 on a 408? Nice out of the box heads I think, I don't want to have to get to crazy or spend more than I have to. I would like to get somewhere near 480rwhp +or-, that would be fine for me.

me and shiznitty have nothing but good luck with the afr 225's, I dont think for out of the box bolt on power they can be beat especially for the money. Shiz went 8's with them and won pump gas drags with them as well but that is my opinion alone im sure you will find poeple that will come out of the woodwork to tell you about there heads....

480hp is very easy on a 408ci/AFR 225 Combo. That would require a 232 duration Cam. As for all out power we use ETP.

Intresting. I don't know if they changed the ports at all from the early releases to the ones that I have, but we had them flowed locally as well. For a point of referance, the flow bench we tested these on comes up within 1cfm of the advertised flow of an afr. The ones I ended up with generally outflowed ET's advertised flow by 5 to 10 cfm across the board once we got over 350 lift and carried right up to 650, they then started to fall off, much like advertised. We checked the port volume as well, right on @ 240 cc, exhaust were right on as well.

Possible that earlier versions were slightly different, I don't know. I know mine seem to work fine, no complaints here.
