Got Tumor?
Well I do...
Long story short, I havent been feeling right for a few months. Really since last October. On and off sick with colds.
Well In Late February I fell ill with the Flu and got over it but shortly there after It didnt go away and I had a nasty cough. Flash forward a week and then I get diagnosed for Pnumonia. I was on Avalox which is pretty heavy duty and numurous chest x-rays. Seemingly it cleared up and I felt fine. After about 3 days off the anti-biotics I started to feel not as good as I could be. Going forward on my mother's 50th birthday suprise party I had thrown for her I fell ill again and went to the emergancy room.
Stayed overnight for a observation, took 2 bags of saline and a pitcher of water and I still didnt need to **** lol. I got pnumonia again. They were very curious because the Avalox should have gotten it all. I went under a CAT scan and they found something. Also my upper lobe of the lung was collasped and that was why the pnumonia came back. It had a place to re-grow.
They put me on a different anti-biotic and I had a broncoscopy which where they put a long tube into me with a camera. They found a "mass" in my lung. I had a biopspy(sp) and it didnt come back as anything. So they fwd me to a surgen who did a 2nd one and the test came back as a Carcinoid tumor which is a curable form of cancer.
Tommorrow they are cutting out the upper portion of my Lung and no chemotherpy. They think I have had it since I was born and its kinda scary but basically the best case sceneario.
Just kinda sucks since I am missing the good air of the race season. But I need to have a adjustible master cyl installed. My clutch is dragging. But my best buds are doing it for me while I recover. I will be at the hospital for 4-6 days then 4-6 weeks recovery. At least I get a little vacation lol!
It was nice though my fiance and I got away from CT and went down to Atlantic City. We stayed at the Borgata, she gets rooms for free. It was a real fun time. I saw The Big Show aka. The Giant checking in. They were taping a show tuesday night. He is ******* HUGE. He puts me to shame I must say.
Well Anyways, I have a 9am appointment. Wish me Luck.

Best wishes Aaron, sounds like it could have been much worse. Small non-fatal tumors can cause all kinds of problems if they are not properly diagnosed. My brother had one and was in a similar situation to you, problems kept coming up and the doctors kept missing the underlying cause, thus perpetuating the problems. Once it was out he got much better. I'm sure you will too. You'll be back racing before you know it.
