Damn he switched to a 408 such a waste of a good build. He needed to fix out the kinks and let that sucker fly into the 10's. If you see him tell him to PM me if he hasn't sold the parts yet and feels like giving away at a good price i want to get this setup in the 10's for Mikey haha.

Why would you get such a potent setup only to dump it a year later? Also, if this was supposed to run a number why would you do such a heavy hitting build in a six speed car with all stock suspension? If I had that car I'd never take it to the track, I would just drive around on the street like I was the F'n man (think "My New Haircut" but with a car). To each his own I guess. That setup is definitely a testament to great technology and great tuning.

^^^^That is true but what's the point in all that power and never being able to have traction and when you do find a way to start blowing rear ends haha. I'd toss a beefy rear end and suspension on maybe drop down to 480 rwhp or sumin and run amazin at the track!!

The motor blew, cylinder 7 at 75% leakdown. Hes not selling the parts hes reusing them on the 408. Also the car isn't stock suspension, hes got aftermarket stuff just not drag shocks as far as i know. It also has a 12 bolt with 4.11's. He was going low 1.8 60fts when he ran the 7.9's@90mph. Idk what the problem was i just know it didn't go the way i expected it too. I hope for his sake the 408 goes much better.

Nah its actually a 402 ls2 stroker from LME, should be finished this week! It should make good power and great under the curve torque with the h/c from my ls1. My biggest problem last year was in the transmission, but as was posted already its going out for rebuild.

I'm not sure why the ls1 came apart but I think it was detonation. I took the cylinder head off the motor and could feel a small score mark in the sleeve, also I had metal shavings in my oil and there is another member on ls1tech that is having the same symptoms

Wow sorry to hear about the motor. Good luck with the new one. Hopefully it performs better and has good #'s to. Performance is the key though. You can have a buttload of HP and not enough torque and or just make that at a peak thats not worth a crap racing as this goes to show. My 444rwhp H/C/I car ran 10.81 at 130 and ran 6.9x's at 102mph in the 1/8mi 6spd car.

Damn that really stinks dude, gooodluck with the 402 i'm sure with what you had on there it would be a stout setup and great streeet manners. Sucks, wish we could have seen a good 1/4 mile slip before all this happened.

yeah, thats the last day the car ran, and it ran like crap. I pulled the tranny and there was no spacer behind my slave cylinder so that was part of the shifting problem, not to mention it was in pieces...

No, LME built the short block and I'll use the Dominator 2 cam and TFS 215 Heads from the ls1.
