Default Broke the GTO again.....

Here are the pics of the passenger side axle. These are supposed to be 1000hp rated stubs and axles. Looks like they are a little off considering i only have 420 to the wheels. I have only raced 6 passes this year and these have maybe a total of 25-35 runs on them since they went in last october. Anyhow here are the pics, hope to get it fixed so i can still race next weekend! As long as the drive shaft shop stands behind their products!

Damn that kills me... I thought the stub-2-hub was unbreakable. From the look of it in those pics it's got to be a manufacturing flaw. Like you said on the phone it looks like a shitty weld of some sort or a blob of JB Weld holding the double spline piece into the CV joint. I am very curious to what DSS has to say about this..... Appears Don and I are on the same page as well, we have to find out what material they're using for these things! Keep us posted Anthony!

ouch.
Oh, you wanted a stub to hub kit? I thought you wanted stub-to-broken piece-to hub kit.
That does suck though, its not like they are cheap, and now hopefully they don't end-up costing you a missed race. Good luck trying to get it back together by this weekend!

3900 or so with me in it. Just found out i made it into the Pinks Last Chance Race to get into the all out in July at e town. I have to race this saturday at etown though if i want to make it in.

I am going to call them as soon as i get a second here at work so i can at least register. I'll get you guys the details, there are alot of racers though 2 and a half pages worth, i was # 571 and i see all the way up to 890 at least on the list.

Anthony, I'll give Frank a call. But I would have to figure that they are still OK to drive on. Maybe even race. I was under the impression the breakage was actually in the diff.

Don, those are 300M billet steel shafts.

Nice, it is going to be 4 classes of bracket racing on a 500 pro tree. Winners of each class advance to the all out event and get 1k in cash. Runner up gets 400, semi gets 200, 1/8 gets there 50 back for entry.

No idea if i have a real shot at it, but i guess its worth the try.

What are the details?? Any news yet?

I didn't think 300M steel rusted like that, I thought it had more corrosion resistance characteristics than what it show's here I'd have them powder coated or certainly sand blasted or wire wheeled and painted just to clean up the look! Hopefully there's enough time before the races....

Not going to make the race, it was gonna cost 300 to next day them to SC, i dont need to race that bad. 300 bucks buys the hoosiers for the back of the car!
