Hey guys,
Quick question. Im about to sell my explorer and im in the market for a trans am or formula. Now with the money i should be getting out of the truck this car could go one of two different ways...
1. Buy lower mileage(50-70k) car and only do exhaust.
2. Buy higher mileage(90k+) car and do h/c/i, exhaust and possibly a small shot.
What would you guys do?

What about the Firebird you already have???
I would buy the lower mileage car and drive it around the way it is for awhile and then once it hits 90k, put the h/c/i on.... Works out perfect!! Haha.
What ones are you looking at?

It was a joke.
Second off....
The good thing is.... They arent like a mustang. Heath used to get really good gas mileage out of his 96 V6 Camaro.... with 298k miles on it! And then DJ drove it until it had almost 311k miles on it, before it was sold to a Navy guy who put another 13k miles on it before the motor said bye bye.... Which was the original motor by the way.
A V6 wont get much better mpg on the highway, because of the V8 gearing.... 6th gear mainly. But in the city is where the V6 takes over.... And a V6 you dont have to put premium in either.... You truthfully dont have to on the V8, but you should just to be safe.
And anyways.... Lately my Cobra has been getting horrible mpg lately. Last 2 tanks Ive filled up, which were almost $60 each time, Ive only avgeraged around 18mpg on the highway.... Without getting into boost at all.

the drive to Tampa the SS was getting like 270 to a tank
Needless to say I drove the Jeep to Pensacola, and when I get back to Tampa I will be driving the Jeep or a gov't car

As far as hawaii go's I do not think could have picked a better place it is always 70-80 out never rains on my side of the island, base house is incredible I have a great garage to work on my car and it is peacefull. you should most deff come this way there are dyno's a fbody club and the track is going to be coming back so. so they say.. how are you and how is the car still MINT!?
I need to slim down to help out 1/4 mile times!!! I did the spring track rental (my first) and was able to turn mid 13's. I was not able to post the fastest time in my car though (someone we both know did that). Car is in good shape. Like everyone else I just need more $$$ to do anything with her. lol

got them done at coastal automotive (at the corner of newton rd and e. vabeach blvd.) guys name is eddie; place looks kind of shady, hence the cheap price, and the gutted cats. the guy did a good job considering the tools he has available to him, he's actually pretty cool...yeah he drives a turbo talon...but i forgave that =] i think the price was so cheap because he didnt really understand how difficult duals are for fbodys, spent all day sunday working it out, plus i had all the magnaflow parts already.
