Well maybe I will go ahead and get the headers sooner than I thought. Not sure yet. I have a few people from a few sites suggestion Hooker headers for perfomance and fit. What do the PS LT's run and should I opt for the ceramic?

Definitely get the ceramic coated.... One of our friends bought the uncoated ones and his started to rust up horribly on him within the first year.

Pm Shawn and see what kinda deal he can get you....

Already been done He quoted me a few prices on parts.

the headers-most likely will go through them for the headers
y pipe-if I can find a cheap used one I may go that route
mounts-poly mounts
wires-not sure which one yet, but I know I will need to for the headers
plugs-not sure on Delco or NGK yet, I know there are huge debates over this.

This was running through a full spool 12bolt with 3.73 gears though.
mine was through a moser 9" with 3.70s and detroit truetrak

YES get the ceramic, mine arnt ceramic and they are rusty as ****. Whatever headers you go with you will get about the same to the wheels. If you are looking for quality (stainless) look to kooks or hooker. If you are on a buget (pretty much everyone but sean) and want the best possible deal go with PS. I believe PS has a deal that you get a 3" offroad y pipe with the headers. ACTUALLY, if you want ill give you my PS ORY for $10. haha I forgot i have it laying around the room.

as far as a tune i'm running a halfass tune from chauncy (onecamaro1) we never got a wideband hooked up to the car to finish it, and i still owe him $100 (when the tune is finished of course) but i plan on learning to tune my own eventually.

edit: for ya'll that have an iphone or itouch, there is an applet out that is kind of like the gtech...it uses the accelerometer in the phone to tell your horsepower, g's, et, 1/4 time etc etc. It's pretty cool, and pretty accurate from what I've seen on my car! It's called dynolicious

The truetrak is nice, i like the idea of no maintenance. Although I'd like to take it apart sometime and make sure everything looks good in there (the 9") I can't really compare though, I've never had a fullspool. From what I've heard though, trutrak for the street.

Yeah, haha im desperate to get rid of the ORY, I dont use it and it costs $80 just to ship anywere pretty much, thus i cant really sale it online without charging too much for shipping! Here is a link if you wanna see a pic!

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/965036-tsp-ory-ac-comp-air-egr-etc-cheap.html

Pm'ed ya back

On another note, i wanna get tuned and hit up the dyno asap! =( I cant decide if this truedual i got gave or lessened my numbers. That bend just keeps convincing me I killed the breathability of my car.

A 1/2 *** tune is something u never want to do........

A Converter is the biggest bang for the $$ u can do to an Auto car.

For street car id say 32-3500.
No real difference in the way it drives on the street.
Ive been there and done it.
No with swapping gears.... DONT DO IT.
There is no REAL gain in a 10 bolt. ( A Lil quicker in the 1/4) MPG Less)
Why spend $500 Let me refraise.... dont waste $500 on a 10 bolt that will break.......
broke mine 2 times with 320rwhp......on drag radials.... on the street.
A Converter is really easy to swap out.
Get a good trans cooler with a fan and good fluid to help with heat in the trans. Heat is what kills a trans.
3.23's and a 3500 stall with LT's and Exhaust will be a low 12 sec car.
If its going to be your daily..... dont do alot of mods....

Kyle, you just said to do exactly opposite what should be done-putting a converter in with no gears is a tranny killer every time, while it may run good it very hard on parts.and for a daily driver you dont want to be hard on parts

I agree. 3:73 gear set is a good all around gear for any auto street car, stall converter or not. The converter and tranny work fairly hard when combined with 2:73-3:42. Sometimes it is not good to be cheap.

It is a complete daily unless my wife buys a new car. Right now I have the 97 2 door Tahoe, a 2001 Corolla that is my wifes, and the T/A this week. My wife wants to sell her car and just keep the two GM's. I would prefer selling the Tahoe and hers so that she can get a new car.

As of right now I am going with the LT's and a tune. Not sure if I will do a stall right now. I don't think I will need one.
