What insurance would you guys recommend
The car is a built 1997 firebird formula, totally streetable. I only want to insure the basic car and nothing aftermarket.
I have a single accident on my record and a few speeding tickets, nothing major. What insurance have you guys had luck with and what are you paying, i am in mass and want my car on the by the end of the month.

check Grundy insurance. its a Muscle car/classic car/antique car insurance company but they dont have any limitations on the year of the vehicle....how many miles you can drive so on and so forth. you pick the value you want to insure it for and thats what they base it on. i dont know if they have coverage in your perticuler state but they are great. for my 2 cars 00ws6 and 99Formula its gonna cost me $435.00 a year. good luck

I go through Geico. I have a '96 Grand Am SE, '94 T/A, and an '87 Iroc and I pay $60/month. It's not full ins, but liability with comprehensive and a $500 deductible. My driving record is exactly squeaky clean, and I'm 23. I'd definitely give Grundy a call first. When i get some more money in my cars I'll probably give em a call myself.

I currently have Geico and I know you can't get it up there, but I would like to steer you clear of AIG if at all possible. I had a bad experience with them jacking up my rates significantly (like $200 over a 6 month period) for no reason of mine (no accidents, tickets, etc). I switched to Geico, who I've had great luck with so far (knock on wood) and later found out that AIG was getting sued for jacking up people's rates with no reasons they could reasonably justify - you know how they like to say "rates in your area have gone up", which I know happens, but I guess it was getting out of hand for a lot of their customers they got called on it big time legally.
Just FYI.

I am 27 and have been with State Farm since I was 19. I was paying about $110 a month when I had my '02 Z28 and my '00 Durango with full coverage on both. Before that when I had the Camaro (full coverage) and a beater '94 Escort (liability), it was only about $70 a month. Both times the Camaro was not listed as my primary transportation.

Allstate sucks, stay away from them. I have coverage from Erie for both cars, my pick up and my Harley. Full coverage on the cars, liabilty on the bike and truck but with theft, fire vandalism and flood coverage. I'm 23 with a fairly colorful driving record, but no insurance claims and I pay about $1,100 a year for everything. Allstate wanted over double that.

State Farm is very reasonable.....thats who im with right now. im paying $170 a month for 3 cars.... full coverage on the 2 ls1's and liability on my beater. i would definetly stay with them but they just cant beat Grundy so im switchin over.
