Default Got a letter from the state police

So a few weeks ago (June 16th to be exact) I headed down to the Cape for a few days. Today I got this in the mail:

Can't remember seeing anybody, it would have been near where 495 & 95 intersect. Perhaps an unmarked car? Maybe I should just put the friggin thing on.

If its the law..its the law....I can see why fronts are needed...for the cops VS bad guys.

You think your eyes would have went to his\her front plate or where you were going to go to avoid?
There are a few scenarios when it would be helpful but not enough to require it to be a law imo.

I was being the one pursued, but either way it would be nice.

The reason is for proper identification, and it is the right of the town/state to verify if all the info is correct. I am sure that is the explaination you will get when you contact the DMV

BUT in reality this is a lawful way for an officer to pull you over and see if there is anything else going on. Just like cellphones and seatbelts, its a way of finding out/investigating.

As for the plate in the dash ive read the actual law book, it needs to be secured w/ to fasteners. Cops have allowed people to stuff them in the dash or behind the window, due to reg tags being stolen BUT in reality now we have moved to the window stickers.
