Need some info here..... where can I find a '99 or newer 4L80E around central Fl. that I don't have to have a core or pay core charge? I don't care if it's 4x2 or 4x4, or even if it needs rebuilding. Every time I think I find one, it either isn't the '99 or newer or it has over 100K miles on it and they also want an additional $300 or $400 core charge. Geeeeeezzzzzzz.... I'm looking for a used tranny for pete's sake!

No rush getting back to me. I'll keep plugging away hunting something that I don't have to trade in my first born to cover the core charge!

I found over 20 within 100miles but those two are the cheapest and nearest. Only thing about them is they will not budge on prices and always want a core. I tried to buy a $900 engine from them last week and they wouldn't even take a $100 less and it's been on the shelf for 5 years! I'll check around for ya.

Eric / Smitty.............. thanks! I have been looking in Ebay and Craigslist. Didn't know about car-part.com. I talked to a place in Auburndale today and the guy didn't know how much they charge for not having a core. (yeah, right). They had one for 700 + core. He is supposed to email me the total. I'm still looking. Thanks for the tip on car-part.
