I didn't run, Ingole ran his car on e85 but still a fairly conservative tune. greg's busa did good considering he hadn't run it in a long time. my friend made some feeler passes with his freshly 6 speed swapped 3rd gen GTA

my convertors too tight now with my bigger turbo, it wont spool up on the brake and only stalls to 3400 rpms. Also, i gotta turn my boost up since i was only peaking to 7.8 psi on my runs. I may go to the track one more time or a dyno to get the boost up but after that im pulling my convertor and loosening it up a good 800 rpms.
ive never got into the 1.3x 60' area and im thinking if i launch around 4400 instead of 3800 like i was ill be there.

4l80e
Well, I have finally got off my butt and got the 4L80E rebuild started. The internals are removed, outside cleaned and put the self-etching primer on it and today I have the first coat of "engine block orange".
No one will ever see the orange after it is installed except the guy under the lift, but I wanted it to look good when I get finished building it. I bought all of the rebuild parts. I have new solenoids, pressure manifold, speed sensors and shift switch, even got the torrington bearings that didn't come in the kit.
Next week after the first coat sits for a week I will start putting it together. I will finish the last coat after it is all together and ready to install. I'm sure, with my history of working in the race trailer, it may take a while to finish it, but it will happen!

I think I know now why they say not to take the 4L80E over-run clutch apart unless you have to! .......
It has a million pieces and I haven't even taken the clutches and steels out yet!
check out the pile of needle bearings in the back of the picture. They come out of the inside of those four gears and those four shafts!
I WILL get it back together!

I was a little nervous running the Busa again for some reason. I have had it put up that long before and jumped right back on it with no problems but for some reason this time I was nervous so I was taking it a little easy. It did come back at the end of the night and I was only running .30 sec slower then I was when I was running it consistently. Never sprayed it but I will soon enough.
I am contributing being nervous to getting older!!!

Somebody at work today told me that there was a really big turnout Saturday night. I saw Allen's post about the track pictures. It's fantastic if the track stays busy and it doesn't turn to crap again like it did before. I probably won't run my camaro yet until I do the transmission and put a 9" in it but I will certainly support the track with my attendance!

Nervous or not, I have to hand it to you. I don't have enough ***** to strap on two wheels and haul *** down the track. I like 4 wheels and big cages around me before I do that!

I want the turbo T/A this time!! Hell I might as well take on all the T/A's. lol
On a side note with us making some changes with the converter when it was being checked out, it feels like it pulls harder for a longer period of time in each gear. But that could just be because I have not driven it. I guess I need to get it back to the track because track time tell all.

There are only a couple on here that have met me in person. Those know that I don't have a lot of hair left. It's turning gray and turning loose! You should see it now since I have been pulling it out by the handfuls, sitting here for about 1-1/2 hours try to stack these little *** needle bearings in the overrun clutch gear, then try to slide the shaft in there without them falling out!
I have enough tranny lube in there to grease down a really big fat woman and those little bastard needle bearings still slide enough to keep me from getting that gear and shaft slid in the bearing housing.
I will win !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone going to Lakeland Saturday night. I haven't been there since they opened the track and would like to see if they are bringing in the cars like they expected. I'm not running but will attend.

Tires
Well, I just ordered a couple of tires for the back of the Camaro. The ones I have just don't cut it. They wouldn't grab at all if you hit it pretty hard up to 50 or 60. I have Nitto NT05R 315/35R17 coming and they should help grab a little better............ we'll see

Those go in the case dave? Just a screw driver to take them out then whe putting them back in put the end at a opening and kinda just work them in. You know put it in one grove then push it in the next then the next and so on

and btw I went to the track, almost ran my best et that I had with my old turbo but my 60's suck, 1.7 once and then I got better one time spinning out the hole. When I get my convertor restalled I'm gonnabe in great shape! This thing sails mid track!
Gregs gonna get me right now though, maybe.
