OSW this Friday? Forecast is low 50's, 10% chance of rain
Anyone going to OSW this Friday?
I was planning on waiting till next Friday, but the forecast shows low 50's. I don't think I want to pass that up.

Plans are firming up for me. I don't think I'll be able to meet before hand, but I hope to be arriving at the track around 5:45 - 6.
Won't quite be low 50's (upper 50's overnight), but still probably cooler than it will be in the upcoming weeks. Here is a hourly chart for tomorrow.

Hopefully we can get some more tech members out there. Always good to hang out in real life too.

Thanks Justin.
1st run (first time ever launching with cam/converter)
1.719 60' - 11.95 @ 114.5
2nd run (hot lapping)
1.695 60' - 11.92 @ 114.4
Runs 3 and 4 hit the limiter on the 2-3 and the 60 ft times were 2.0's .
Maybe I was brake/stalling to high (2400 rpm) on the 3rd and 4th and not hitting the tires as hard. I only stalled it to 1500 and 2000 on the first two runs. Not sure why else it was only cut a 2.0 60'. Maybe the 2-3 limiter was because the clutches are getting worn, trans was hot .

The 2-3 shift on the limiter could be clutches or maybe the shift point is too close to the rev limiter. I also found with my car if i run in D(overdrive) the car shifts much more firm into 2-3 shift then in 3rd(drive). In overdrive the car does not use the overrun clutches, in drive it uses the 3-4 clutch pack and the overrun clutches which is apparently to much fluid volume for a 13 vain pump to supply and it causes the car to flair or even hit the limiter on the 2-3 shift. If your trans does not have a 10 vain pump that is probably the problem and you just need to race in D (overdrive).

If you stall it too high the converter wont flash much when you leave so it hurts the 60'.

Oh well. The 1st two runs were just what I was hoping for!
