Anyone want to set up a cruise down from the Orlando or close to area? Dont feel like driving down alone when Im sure we could get a group together and have a fun cruise.

My wife and I are thinking of going to this event. I'll know for sure on friday.
It would be cool to cruise down in a group.

Looks like racers need to be there nice and early at 7ish. tech at 7:15. spectators at 9am. I have a question, I have a few friends following me out, will it be ok for non racers to be there pre 9:00am?

 

Ya post up if you decide to go. Does anyone else from Orlando or even anywhere in central florida feel like meeting up and cruising down?

Who is heading out to the event from Broward and Palm Beach and points north? I am in the Head Start Group so I need to be at the airstrip by 7:00 AM, also need to re-fuel before jumping on The Trail. I could be at The Shops at Pembroke Gardens (Southeast corner of I-75 and Pines Blvd) at 5:45AM, and we could plan on leaving by 6:00-6:15 AM. The parking lot is huge, first one there just parks closest to the road and we will find you. If that is too early for some I understand, let me know, thanks.

New clutch is in the car and I am breaking it in now.

I didn't get the new clutch master cylinder in (because the supply company didn't bother to ship it) unless it somehow miraculously appears tomorrow, so hopefully the one on the car wasn't the cause of my clutch issues. There was certainly enough wrong with the clutch itself...

Looking forward to Sunday. Not looking forward to getting up THAT early on a Sunday...

9am as far as I can tell.

Going to take my bicycle as I'm not sure how this works as a spectator. No I will not be running the bicycle.

I live in Kendall and will be there around nine. Taking my nephew who is 13, hope there are no wacky age problems.

Can't wait to see/hear big HP cars!

 

Car is now officially 'ready' or as ready as it is going to get.

Cooler is full of ice and drinks.
Food is in fridge and ready to load up.
Camara batteries are charged.
Everything else is in a big pile in the garage ready to load into the 'support' truck...

Whats everybody setting tire pressures too? and X2 on when the spectators can show up?

 

Website says 9am for spectators...

Tires I am not sure on what I am doing. For a mile I feel need less rolling resistance over the distance than you do with a 1/4 mile so based on that totally unsubstantiated theory I am going to start with a higher psi than I normally would.

I might start at street pressure and see what happens.

 

ok i know it is last minute but what do i need to bring with me i have the drivers form filled out jeans shirt closed shoes and helmet , car is ready brakes,tires,no leaks what else need.... i have two people coming with me they are my techs do they need to fill out any special forms that i need to print tonight ???? please let me know
