Narrowing Rims
Narrowing Rims Anybody ever narrow a set of OEM rims. I'm thinking of getting an extra pair of C5 thinspokes and using them as some skinny's. Has anybody done this if so who did it and what did it cost?
I did this to chrome SS rims, had it done up at Weldcraft
in Michigan. Came out looking nice, got them down to
about 6". Bitch of a time finding anything tall enough in
that width to match the Mickeys and not **** off the
ABS. Cost me about $300 with shipping.
Then some little choad-snackers stole 'em out of the
storage unit. Probably sold them for weight.
You might want to source the skinny tires first and
then pick the rim; the 10-spokes couldn't go any
skinner because of the cross section profile, running
out of "flat bottom" to weld.
