its so hard to track down, there's a slow residual leak dripping from the bottom of the kmember, but where the oil is coming from, who knows

I can't believe I fucked up on the timing cover like that, can I get that gasket lined up without taking the pulley off?

You should be able to do that without taking the balancer off, but it's rather suspect IMO that the crank seal is leaking too, because it seems likely that it is getting on the balancer to get slung up on your alternator and such. Honestly, I would pull the balancer and cover and replace the crank seal and the timing cover gasket too just to make sure you know that it's all in the clear up there.

I know I'll have to replace the crank seal, but do I really have to buy another timing gasket?

Ok, got a new crank seal and timing gasket. Installed the pulley with the cover loose, then tightened it. Made sure gasket went in right too. And of course I lose one of the water pump bolts, don't ask how, i have no ****** clue. Haven't tested it yet, will tomorrow.

Fixed it, no oil leaks now, and found the water pump bolt in my headlight.
