If my memory serves me correctly, Mark of EFI Alchemy's 2002 TA has a 6 speed and has a best ET of 10.68@130. Im assuming your refering to street cars based on the 6spd tranny stipulation?

No, that car is a twin turbo w/ a powerglide. I think Joe Huneycutt (Spelling?) of six speeds, inc and Judd Massingill from S.A.M. had the fastest (nationally) at low to mid nines.
There is a guy in florida that goes by LS2bait that's gone 9.86 on nitros. I've gone 10.70 at 132.76 with a lousy 1.66 60 foot n/a. At some point the six speeds are no longer a good option.

first 4 passes went like this. 9.91 (n20 turned off at 135 and crossed at 140), 9.96 was on the gas but tires spun, 9.86 on the gas but revving to 7200. motor peaks at 6300)n4th pass spun on the line and broke loose at around 1000 ft and went 10.01@120 haha. sideways, flatspotting my skinnies and havent been back since.
btw yes its full weight, leather, stereo system, etc etc. weighs 3706 witout me in it but im only 155lbs :-)
congrats to your buddy thats bad *** to have another fast 6 spd. mine should be a 9.7 next time out.....if i can drive it that fast.

i havent really scratched the surface of my car as i never go to the track. it has 4 nitrous passes on it. on motor its deadly consistant. when i go i usually make 7-8 passes and they are all within a tenth unless something happens. i have since picked up some power so i expect it to be a little faster now. but once you get into the low ten to nine second zone those tenths are hard to get. search my name there is a bunch of threads on my build and gm high tech did an article on it in november if you want to check it out. it's in super chevy this month for a tech article too but that wont really tell you much about what your asking since it was a tire test :-)
