3.73 would be a better pull down low. If the car sees some highway i would have to agree with blk/slvr02SS, i had 3.73s in my old Z28 and the pull was great down low but the car was screaming all the way down the freeway at those higher RPMs. What do you have now, 2.73s?

U have 3:23's but if your doing highway driving i would just go w/ 3:42's they will be great for what u want to do plus u can get a whole rear out a 6 speed car for around $300 w/ low miles.

Hard to answer this question without more info. Idealy you want as much gear as possible while still finishing the 1/4 in your 1:1 ratio gear (3rd gear for you). You won't know that until after you take the car to the track. Also, you don't want to limit yourself gear wise if you plan on make the car faster in the near future. You will want to leave some room to grow.
So my suggestion is get this thing running, take it down the 1/4 and check your trap speed.. then select your gear.

I've had both in a auto and really for the easy swap, just find a nice used 3.42 rear. They are in 6spds incase you didn't know. Buy it and swap the whole rear. then sell your 3.23. Best bang for buck.
