I've gotten pulled over like 3 times in the last 2 years while driving my car. They always just want to check out the car. The only ticket that I've gotten in the last 5 yrs was a street racing ticket at 3 AM on a Saturday night. Spent the night in jail for that one but Abramson made it go away. I wouldn't think that a pretty girl in a stockish car would ever get a ticket.
Remove the license plate cover and get a picture. Get a picture of the wear bar and print them both out so you can take them to the lawyer or court with you.
