my buddy just changed out his clutch up there for about $200 parts included with the special they are running. They have an account set up where they are able to get parts for customers at a pretty good discount so they saved him about $150.

I've been over there to check it out and it's a nice setup. Prices are very reasonable. Will be installing my cats and doing some fluid changes there pretty soon.

I thought some of you all may be interested in this. I guess these guys are trying out a new idea and offering use of the shop for a monthly flat fee of $49.95. I went by there the other day to do some work and found out about the deal.

I signed up and can now use the shop for the entire month with unlimited lift use, kind of like a gym membership. Not bad if you plan on doing a lot of work b/c it's roughly the cost of 2 hours on the lifts

oh wow, didn't know these were in such high demand. my dad and I were considering doing the same with our shop but weren't sure how much response it would get. if we can get enough people in the central fl area interested we will open it up

I mean hell, it's hard enough to own a legitimate shop let alone a building with lifts and random people standing under them.

Too bad.

I will never understand how people can decide what’s safe for other people. This was a great thing for people who work on their own cars. They knew the risk and signed waivers stating that they knew the risk but someone decides it’s just not safe and the place gets shut down. I blame all the sue crazy people out there getting away with being dumb and actually getting paid for their stupidity. Sorry, rant over lol.

^When I was stationed at NAS Lemoore it was $2 or 3 and hour for a stall with no lift and then $5 or 7 and hour for a lift. I don't remember the exact pricing, but it was dirt cheap! Wonderful benefit.

I'm also curious on what the pricing was at this place in Jacksonville. If it were $20 an hour I wouldn't be there either.

20 bucks an hour is better than 100 bucks an hour at a shop

and people think we live in a free country where we are free do do as we please.

"You're free to do what you want, as long as you follow the rules and don't do what we say you can't do, otherwise, you're free to do whatever you want to do." LMAO @ our version of "freedom"

While a lift is extremely convenient, I have never absolutely needed one. The only time I have a shop do anything for me is if I don't have the time or its something I don't feel comfortable tackling. It is a rare thing to see my car worked on by someone else. Even then I only have one person in my town who touches it and they do excellent work at very fair prices. If he were $100 an hour he wouldn't get my business, but he is no where near that.

I've done 5 motor swaps on fbodies in the driveway, would a lift have been nice? You betcha! It isn't essential though.

I guess if I lived in an apartment complex and had no gearhead friends around me with somewhere to work then yeah $20/hr doesn't sound so bad to have somewhere to work, compared to paying a shop.
