South beach Miami vacation..What hotel
My wife and our two teenage sons are going on Vacation in Miami. We love the beach. Can you Fla peeps tell me what hotel has the best bang for the buck? We like to party so bars within walking distance would be cool and we want to be on or very close to the beach. The kids will have plenty of entertainment looking at the chicks so I don't think that they will complain.
We are thinking about the Lowes but is somewhere else nice and on the beach cheaper than $300 a night?
Thanks

The Bel-Air, its the one you see in Post card and some movies, has the blue neon, Nice outside bar and pool,
of course there's the and the Doral, very ritzy and pricey!!
^ Fountain Bleu,
The News Cafe is under Ford Modeling agency, nice outside eatry, and women, and gay guys galore, body building gays, there all over,

Idk about hotels, but check out Nikki Beach for a pricey but nice beachfront brunch, and Wet ******* for booze laden slurpees that you can take "to-go"... no open container law ftw... (get the "weak *****" - virgin ones for the kiddies). Oh yeah, and the drink with the highest alcohol content is a mix of "call a cab" and "attitude adjustment."

Go with the Loews, you won't be disappointed its a super nice hotel. The Loews is on 16 St, so you will be one block away from Ocean Dr (1st-15st). Plus you'll be in walking distance of EVERYTHING!. I work for the cable company and have been to almost all the hotels on the beach and the Loews is awesome!
Enjoy your visit down here
P.s....its Loews ....not Lowes

Is Lummus Beach the best in the area? (girls, drinking, beach volleyball... girls) I'm going early March with some friends and staying off a lower portion of Collins. What are the open container laws for the public beaches (lummus in particular)? Any special events occuring in early March? Best bars/clubs with low cover? Thanks guys

Sounds good. Are they really strict if we had a cooler full of cans of beer and made sure we didn't litter? aka do the police actually enforce responsible drinking on the beach?
