I slathered on 3 coats with a cheapie foam/sponge brush giving at least a day between coats after I sand blasted it.

wow! thats amazing..both look great.
Thanks guys!
This guy didn't want to go crazy with painting anf stuff. I did feel the need to remove and encapsulate the existing rust that was on the fram rails...so I hit it with a can and called it a day. Eventually I'd like to convince him to remove front clip and do it all over from the bare metal up...

While the stock subframe remains unaltered, nothing else will remain stock. Aftermarket control arms, coil overs, and steering components should compliment each other nicely in this particular build.
We thought of a box, but the customer wanted a rack specifically. We did our research and spoke with several different companies, engineers and 1st gen owners. We came up with what we think will be a nice package using top of the line parts.

The white headers look cool, but that's about it.
What a bitch when y ou touch them. You're wiping them down every two seconds.
Also, the guy who installed them did a poor job sealing the valve covers and oil got all over the collectors. White turned to brown streaks and baked on...looks terrible.

You as a shop should be able to steer the the customer the right way,
I'm sorry I may be ignorant, but I have'nt heard of anybody have positive results adding the rack to the sub,
I'll research this and get back with you...

Steves rights... the racks dont really work properly in terms of suspenison geometry with the OEM subframe. The people selling it to you will tell you otherwise, but do what you want.
The high end aftermarket subframes will locate the body of the rack at the proper height and have the rod ends swinging in the correct arc.
