Will a 700r4 out of a 91 camaro work in a 88 gmc 1/2ton pickup 350ci

my main concern is the tail shaft lengths. i know the camaro 700r4 has the torque arm mount on the tail shaft. o well

well do u have the tranny from the truck ... do u think u might be able to swap the tail shafts

No need to swap the tailshafts. Last two transmissions I ran in my truck have been from third gen Fbodies. You are good to go.

I think my issue has always been the TV cables. I lost 3rd and 4th gear in two transmissions, the third transmission stacked shifts. I finally had enough of this non-sense, ripped out the slow TBI, uncooperative 700R4s and going with a LT1/4l60e.

Yeah I know they aren't the greatest transmissions either, but at least I won't have to deal with a TV cable.

I say it will work ram it in there hand tighten the bolts, throw KY on it and you will not have a worry in the world. Hell Warming KY for added protection.

what do u mean bolts? I always use zip ties to hold the trans to the block.
