Gainesville wed night. whos goin??? Wondering if anyone from Jacksonville area is goin to test an tune at Gainesville wed night. I'm prob gonna take the yota out there to see what she will do. Lmk if y'all r goin. Maybe we can meet up and cruise out there together.

Yup, Gainesville raceway is closed until 2012. But if you wanna make the extra 40 min trip, you can come down to Ocala Wednesday night. We will be touring the NPD car collection. Bunch if great cars, and it's not normally opened to the public.

Anyone know when gainesville opens back up?
If I can get off early one Wednesday ( I close shop every Wednesday at 7) I wouldn't mind making the drive. How late this year are they open?

Gainesville closed a little earlier this year than last, and usually they are ready to go again on the 2nd-3rd Saturday of January. Wednesday night TNT doesn't start up again until after the Gatornationals in late March.

Yep, Gainesville Raceway usually closes for 6-7 weeks while they have private testing, Frank Hawley's Drag Racing school does their courses there, etc etc. But as mentioned if you need a speed fix, SGMP, Bradenton and PBIR don't close their gates for as long as Gainesville does. But the January air is normally good for sea level (if not better) conditions and the quick timeslips that go with it!
