Yes I would give you 100 bucks to find me a zr1 that came with an auto from the factory....

5th gen camaros, c5's have them as well. It has a pump in the transmission, that pumps fluid to a front-mounted cooler, similar to an automatic, but the transmission does not rely on the pump to function, just to cool and lubricate.

thank you for the useful post. I have never seen this, thusly why I was asking. I have seen my t56 from every possible angle and knew it didn't have anything like that

Exact same thing happened to me. Supersoaked my radiator. I was dripping excess ATF for a week later even after I sprayed it down. Thought the worst when under my hood started smoking >.< .... hate the smell of burnt ATF!

Yeah, trans in in the rear of vehicle...clutch and **** is up front...

WOW....yeah man the smell is very distinctive...

Just glad it didn't burn down man
