what I was seriously asking? I have never seen a manual trans with cooler lines. high pressure ones at that. must be some new **** exclusive to zr1's or something. is it like a dry sump system? no need to be a dick

 

5th gen camaros, c5's have them as well. It has a pump in the transmission, that pumps fluid to a front-mounted cooler, similar to an automatic, but the transmission does not rely on the pump to function, just to cool and lubricate.

 

thank you for the useful post. I have never seen this, thusly why I was asking. I have seen my t56 from every possible angle and knew it didn't have anything like that

 

Exact same thing happened to me. Supersoaked my radiator. I was dripping excess ATF for a week later even after I sprayed it down. Thought the worst when under my hood started smoking >.< .... hate the smell of burnt ATF!

 

Yeah, trans in in the rear of vehicle...clutch and **** is up front...
