thanks everyone! So if I find something I like in Lake Nona area, that would be a far drive?
And other than the Office Depot meet, what else goes on in this general area weekly? Out here in AZ, there is a spot that fills up with 200+ cars every Saturday night and has for the last 20 years without a miss. From classics, to muscle, to new muscle, to imports.

Lake Nona is a very nice area that has been growing. Its the home to the new Orlando area VA Hospital which will be the largest in the country. The hospital is little over 78% complete the last I heard from the VA. The drive would be reasonable with out too much traffic. You can even avoid some and speed the drive up by taking the 528 toll road if your running late.

I've grown up here in lake Mary and I couldn't picture anything better! Solid schools, if your kid ever gets into sports or music lake Mary/parts of Sanford or Longwood would be best

Good suggestions so far. I recently bought and renovated a house on lake Olympia in Ocoee, It's a nice neighborhood but the ghetto of Pine hills isn't too far away. I'm looking to buy my next house in Wedgefield, Its a neighborhood off 528 between Orlando and Cocoa. Nice big yards and NO HOA! I'm sick of people telling me what I can & cannot do to my property.
Toll roads suck, so make sure you plan that into your commute. Also traffic near the tourist attractions sucks, so avoid Disney & Universal areas.
Welcome to Florida, hope you like rain (compared to AZ)
