Supposed to rain sunday isn't it? Few friends are talking about going to gainesville next saturday Feb 8th. I haven't been there since I was stock and the weather will be close to the same probably so it'll be a good comparison

Welcome to the new guys in Jax! I've lived in or near this town for over 30 years now and rarely make it out to an event (I always remember them a day late), but in the past few months, I've gone out to Cars & Coffee at the Florida Times Union building downtown (near the Landing). It's every 2nd Saturday of the month, 9a-11a. Free to park and check out or be checked out. Huge turnout (300 ish) of cars to view. Everything from old Vettes to C7's, Saleen S7, Ford GT, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, every flavor of Mustang and Camaro you can think of, and always a few oddball finds. Everything is split between import and domestic. You should check it out.
After that pitch, I have to tell you they are NOT doing it March 8th because of a show in Amelia Island. But they will return to downtown on April 12th. I'd be surprised if there was a larger regular car meet in town than this one.
Look for me there in a black CTS-V with an obnoxiously loud stereo that is rivaled only by my exhaust.
Probably have my brother there too in his white G8 GT. Part of the parking lot is covered (think of a two story parking garage). I usually hang out in the covered area.
