Default I'm moving to Gainesville. Looking for a place to live.

Well, it's pretty much a done deal. Work wants me to start in Gainesville first monday of the new year. Definately a pain in the *** with my car back in the build process.

I'm looking for a place to live that has a garage space for my car and tools. Anyone have any ideas??

Oh and i'll need to meet some new people too so i'm not sitting at home every night. How's the car scene down there?

Good luck man. This sucks. I can't believe that they're giving you this little notice--are you going to at least get some assistance from the company for relocating? Thought about maybe moving to Middleburg? Dunno if that'd be close enough or not...

They have a certain amount they give for moving costs. Hopefully it'll cover everything.

Middleburg is still a decent drive. The cost of gas alone would be a few hundered a month easy.

car scene is a mix. Some college kids bring nice rides, but getting them together can be a PITA. We tried to keep a club going lately, but without help from the college level to them involved, it dies. Good thing is you'll have Gainesville raceway accessible from almost anywhere in Gainesville in 20 minute drive Don't know where to send you for housing (tons of real estate and apartments here, and roommate finders), but let me know if you need anything else, since I've been here for 10 years!

Yeah, there are tons of apt's around for $400/mo. Just have to deal with living with obnoxious partying college folk.

I can handle the nuts. lol... the problem seems to be finding an apartment for that price with a garage for my car and tools. Anyone know of someone with a house and a spare spot in the garage?

Definatley a plus about the track, I've been trying to keep the car off the street.

I know a few rx7 guys around there, but i there's only so much rotary talk i can take.

I'll call you all out if all goes though. jk.

What is your budget per month for housing. Where in Gainsville are you working. I'm trying to get hold of a place on 301 near Waldo. It is about 25 or so minutes from gainsville. It is much closer than middleburg which is at least and hour from gainsville. This place has a workshop and a garage.

That sounds pretty good. I'm shooting for around 400 a month. I currently pay less than that.

What type of lease would you be interested in a presume 1 year how long would you plan to live in the house if it suited your needs? Is it temporary until you find a place to buy in G'ville or would it be for awhile? You can shoot me a PM if you want.

house-warming gifts would probably include:

-air compressor/fittings
-jack/jackstands
-in ground lift (get donations)
