I moved to Kissimme, just south of Orlando, two and a half years ago. Housing jumped waaaay up in the last couple of years, but looks like it's evening out. My house is up 50% since I bought it.
Central Fl is great for racing. Been to Daytona, Sebring, St Pete for IRL. Run at Orlando, Gainsville, Bradenton. Bradenton is a very nice track.
If you like Hurricanes, bugs the size of your head, soul sucking humidity... Come on Down! I'm from PA... I would kill for a good snow ball battle.
