thats what I've been researching all morning. you have to have a working opti to use one of those tho! So looks like I need 8 ls1 coils, Spirro Cut to fit wires, LTCC module, new opti, and might as well change the spark plugs. Anyone got $1000 to spare to a poor college student?

deltec is not that great. its a bandaide. LTCC is the proven setup. if yo ulook around you can find the coils decently cheap on guys that wreck their cars.

or just throw another opti in there.

i'll have to be on the look out. looks like i'll have to take out another student loan for this one. should i just take out a couple extra thousand and do heads/cam while I'm at it ?
I've got other options like taking the money i have saved up for a DD or a Bike and using it on this or just buying a pos DD for now and just save up instead of taking out a loan.

yea thats what my old man just told me. so what's the best kind of headache relief medicine? I'm having nightmares of the location of the opti and being under the car changing out plug wires after my header install.

I have an Gen I SBC crate motor ready to go in any vehicle lol. Also got a pontiac 400 block and a lq9 block, so i have plenty of options just no disposable $.
And a dune buggy that needs a VW aircooled motor or a rotary motor to go in it lol, thatd be perfect for crusing around g-ville and to go to class in.

link no worky.

And do you think LT1s in Los Angeles have longer lasting opti's since there is a lack of an o-zone layer in that part of the country lol? I was just doing some researching and read that ozone is the number one factor in the crapping out of the optical ****, along with time.

I have done it a few times, a couple on my old car and also a few times on some friends. I can do it kinnda quick now, however the first time was a pain. I was just affraid to screw anything up. Just take your time, its not as bad as doing headers.
