it should be like this.....

You have two choices

Choice A: You pass emmisions
Choice B, you pay an annual fee per car that you acknowledge will not pass, ie-show cars, hot rods, F BODIES, etc....like a tax, that way everyone wins...I'd pay it to get waived granted it wasn't like $1,000 a year or some ****...

all the high populated areas huh...like the high income beach areas where they are replacing hotels/motels with condo's...because the government is killing our tourism.

and honestly, no reason not to have cats on your car, even the high flow ones cause minimal restriction...have some hi flows on, lean that bitch out big time while waiting to get into inspection and see how it goes.

Every place I have lived with OBDII/Visiual, the visual was a joke. There is all kinds of guys in Phoenix running true duals without cats and still passing emissions. As long as you can pass OBDII you golden.

I like all the comments about older cars though, did anyone read the original post?! It said for ODB II and ODB III cars, so why is the guy with the 2nd gen T/A sweating? I've got a 94 so I'm not worried either, ODB I, oh yeah.

I thought we didn't have emissions and inspections mostly due to the old people. Well thats what I always heard, that they wouldn't do this stuff cause how could all the old people pay for it and keep their vehicles maintaned.

Also 02vortec there was no mention of a sniffer test, just a visual inspection and scanning for emission codes.

lol just tell them the turbo is one of those tornado POS's, for gas efficiency.

i just moved down from NJ and barely got by without cats (moved right as my inspection expired lol) so .... looks like ill need to get some cats thrown on if this happens. wonder if a roots style blower would cause me not to pass?

The codes are easy to fix if you know what you're doing, and I'm not talking about just turning them off in the tune, you'll still fail for the test not having been run if you do that on a Ford.
