You get what you pay for. If it was a plunking gun, have at it. But I wouldn't trust it with my life.

I had a kel tec rifle... bought it brand new and it had some shell extraction problems in the first hundred rounds, but after that was a completely solid gun. I havent really heard anything else bad about kel tec. just make sure you put a couple hundred rounds through it to make sure it works as it should... i would definatly buy another one if i needed a carry gun.

interesting information..im just used to big prices for quality guns. i have plenty of larger pistols but wanting a personal carry. they also have a P-11 in 9mm which i prefre but it is considerably larger (still small though). i just wish they had more choices as far as grain and style in the .380. (which is simply a cutdown 9mm)

working for a sheriffs office, we have broken several of these down and used a couple at the range....in my squad we had a 3/10 failure rate ie failure to feed, failure to extract or a failure to seat....i was exactly happy with 30% of my guys not being able to fire there weapons, its not so much a bad gun but the design could be a little better, its a very DRY gun, which causes problems....however we liked the concealment factor and were happy with the ease of the gun when it did go off

i carry a taurus .45 for my back up...very good gun, simple to field strip
i would lookin in a small glock 9mm...alot of people dont like glocks because they think there "cheap" and arent built well....i think thats a load of bull....

what else is there that is close to the size of the Kel-tec? the kahr is a bit bigger and also has similar chambering, extracting and clip loading problems. all of the other styles are all much larger..for instance the Sig, Kimber, Springfield, S&W personal carries are all larger guns than the Kel-tec. am i going to have to go with a revolver?

How small are you that you can't conceal a baby glock? My93Z286spd can conceal guns in the Glocks size range, aka an XD with no problem. He isn't big at all. He was thinking KelTec at first, then he decided to save up a little more to get a Springfield XD. Maybe he will chime in. If you are wanting an ankle gun, then good luck. But you will be suprised what you can conceal elsewhere. Try FloridaShootersNetwork for some more gun info.

most of the manufacturers make their personal carries in 3" barrel designs. the XD carry gun is extremely heavy. is it really that bad that i want an extremely small gun to carry? i just know how easy it is for my buddy to conceal his kahr and i want that same concealment factor. with the mindset of some i should be able to conceal my 1911 with no problem.

I carry a 4" G32 no problem. Weight isn't a problem either. It has more rounds than a smaller gun or revolver. You are limiting yourself to a certain size gun. I personally care about knowing it will fire when the trigger is pulled, that is worth more than the size or weight. I have put thousands of rounds of Wolf plinking ammo down range with no issues. I am confident any of my Glocks will perform as they should when needed.

most of the agencies around here carry either glocks or H&K's.....both are good weapons....i personally love my two glocks, they also have good customer service....being able to send a firearm back with a cracked slide and get it back within a week was great
