I work at Orlando Speed World and we prep our track the same way every single time. We blow the track off, drag tires the whole length of the 1/4 multiple times, then spray roughly $500 worth of VHT per lane. Your shoes practically stick to the pavement.

As with every area, we have had people leak all over the track, but we promptly clean it up. I will be in the announcing booth, so if you need anything special said about you, let me know.

You do realize OSW is one of the worst hooking tracks in FL right?

It dosen't hook because FWD's drag water down the F'N thing, along with oil downs and anti freeze,

Thats not true at all, I`ve raced at every track in FL except Holt. I race Summit points at OSW and BMP I have also bracket raced at Sunshine many times and Gville a few times. OSW is as good as any track at an event but on TnT there is a ton of slow cars and bad drivers that start their burnout in the waterbox and drag water down the track. My only gripe on TnT nights is that they prep really good at the beginning of the night but do not use much VHT after that. If there is alot of racecars in lanes 1+2 on TnT he usually does a good job with track prep all night.

+1, my experience and sentiments also

I'll be there this Wed testing some new changes Not too hard to spot my car as it has a window banner that says next. That's just in case I forget which car is mine Anyone that has seen my enclosed trailer knows you can spot it from 5 miles away

I'm with Cavie and Next, the more faster cars the more VHT,

the more 18.0 sec Mazdas 1 gens, the less the prep,

Just don't expect street tires to work. Racing tires
seem to love stickum and other peoples' rubber cheese
but my hard street tires only smear on it. I swear
it's worse than dry pavement. Whether it's truly worse
than other tracks, I can't say but my 2.0 best 60' is all
traction limited.

And you can't re-prep the track after the 100 clowns
ahead of you have left their stuff, right? Too late,
whatever it might have been before the gates open
is long gone.

Thays why they burn and scrape, then reapply the VHT, then drag the track,

I been going to the track since 80/81, started racing down it in 86/87,
