That's one of the weirdest things I've ever heard of breaking in a wreck. You'd think that wouldn't ever happen with all the crazy safety regulations on cars now.

Were you hauling *** or did you just impact at an angle??? I was rearended in my '99 3 years ago. The only damage was a small gouge and some scratches in the bumper cover. I was sitting at a redlight and was hit by a Honda Accord doing 50 mph. It had been raining that day and a huge pickup was aggressiveley coming up behind me ... not realized I was stopped at a redlight. When he swerved, the car behind me never had time to get on the brakes and he hit me in the rear doing 50 mph. No frame damage or anything ... just a bumper cover replacement, so, I hope yours is correctable and not totalled.

That sounds like more than enough money to total the car out at. Thats like 75-80% of the value

Agreed. Usually in accidents like that the rear frame / quarter panel area gets pretty whacked out of shape.

Yeah I'm pretty sure almost 10k in damage is abiout 80% of the value of your car. Might want to start working on the 240 bro. Wish I could have been there to take pics and drive off

I'd have to say totaled to bro, buy it back and use the motor tranny for your 240 swap. sell me the LCA's if there not bent.
