Default FL, LT1 shootout???

When can we set up the LT1 ladder? I would like to get as many local lt1's at the track and do some racing . King of the LT1's. I'd hope to attract some faster cars like Gators dad to this race! Yeah I know that's not good for me, lol! It would be even cooler if we did $20 a head for a pay out but I know some guys can't swing that. Remember the "fastest" car does not always win. People spin and break on the track. Ask me how I know? Let me know if you are interested? I may try and put something together!

andy if you can put something together, maybe a 4th gen type gimmick, i would put it up as a stickey. cool to see you interested in putting together some kind of meet. FL has so many fbodys and no real races.

John, I may try to get a LT1 & LS1 event on the same day. Have both in different categories then race the top 5 from each? Still putting it together in my head!

Sounds like a good deal!

Maybe do a heads-up deal with 1-2 classes, TNT and a bracket class that way everyone would not feel "confined" to one or 2 classes.

..... not to hi-jack, but we are trying to form a 10-13 race a year F-body Series (along with separate Corvette, Mustang, and MoPar bracket-classes ), to be held at Lakeland Motorsports Park's 1/8-mile strip, just-off I-4, hopefully in '08:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/florida-members/805333-any-interest-bracket-racing-series.html

Help in spreading the word is greatly appreciated, and with any-luck, these type of model-specific Series will spring-up at all tracks in Florida soon!

you know this reply brings up a GREAT point and something i never understood in racing.

why is it guys will only race a car they know they can beat?

drag racing is anything goes. besides, its about fun and lining them up to see how your car runs, how good of a driver you are, and how well you/your car will do against another.

i LIKE racing against other faster cars. to be honest, most faster cars are not worried about the tree and have a harder time hooking. both are in the favor of the slower car.

andy, if you get something going, i will support it and bring atleast one fbody there to race

All good points John, hence the reason I suggested a bracket race or grudge race class or two as well. I'm all for racing for fun (the Formula won't win any heads-up battles at 13 second slow), and bracket racing makes it where the slower car has just as good of a chance as the quicker one.
