Default cordless impact guns

Anyone using one of these at the track to change your tires? If so which one do you have?

i havent used them for the track. but i do use the snap on 1/2 inch cordless impact gun daily at my dealer. takes tires off cars very nicely. id recommend it but i would always recheck them with a torque wrench or a breaker bar.

I have the goodyear one, I think it's 24v, it works really well. I got it from pepboys if you were wondering, it was like 80 bucks maybe a little more. I've had it over a year and it's still going strong no complaints at all.

I have one of those also. It's quite peppy to say the least. I've never used it to change tires, but it easily could.

I have a 19.2V model from Harbor Freight. I think I've had it for maybe 4 years. The original battery started discharging quickly after maybe 3 years. I picked up the last two spare batteries they had for that discontinued model last year. I've used the Snap-on's and they're nice

My Dewalt is 18v. It's nice because the batteries are interchangable between that, my sawzall, and drill.

Nah, ~$468 retail, and I'm sure T-1 would offer it to us at his cost

They are pretty awesome, a friend of mine puts crossmembers and radiator supports on diesel units that they make into generators. And if the air hoses are being used, he just grabs the cordless impact he has from snap-on. I have used it a few times, and it feels just like any other air assisted impact gun. Im sure it must be great to use at the track, probably makes things faster and easier to change. But as stated before i would check it with a torque wrench just to make sure especially at a track, but with as much power as some of these make i think you'll be perfectly fine.

still a lot of f'ing money for an impact gun! I'm still baffled that I paid $50 for two torq stix, two simple pieces of steel lol. No offense T-1 but the tool industry is rediculous.

We use the Sanp=on ones at the shop....they are awesome & get used constantly, but for the track we have a few of the cheap GoodYear/Pep Boy's ones and have used them for a couple of years trouble free.

http://www.motherofallcordlessimpactwrenches.com/

I've read that 400 is in the forward/working direction, and up to 600 in breakaway torque.
