In my experience, UCF Police are very "traffic oriented", and I assume that at that point in time they really didn't have anything better to do (which sounds horrible coming from me, the future cop).
Here are a few things about the "Fix It Ticket"
1. If the officer writes you a "Fix It Ticket", the ticket itself is $5, and I believe the fee to have an officer check it out is another $10, but I'm not sure. I think you have 30 days to take care of it as well.
2. If the officer writes you an "Unsafe Equipment" ticket, then the price of that is $71.50, and 2 points are tacked on to your license. From there you have only 10 days to take care of that equipment in order not to receive points. An "Unsafe/Improper" equipment violation is placed on your permanent driving record regardless if you don't receive any points.

What wheels are those? Also, ever thought about driving around with your lights on so atleast maybe your parking lights lit up may deter them from bothering you again? Just a thought. Or get some removable decals made of what the tail light looks like and everytime you're on campus, slap them on. LOL
