Glad your ok man, that sucks to see a member of the EFI Alchemy family have that happen to their ride... Its crazy to see the old pics of it on the EFI A. website as compared to know; My brother with his Vortec Blazer(part of EFI Alchemy) knows that feeling when he hit a tree about 2 months ago, luckily his truck was fixable with a few parts from the junkyard.

Matt, I'm glad you are ok. The truck looks nasty. Rick showed
us the pics last night when we got to Doc's house. Mark couldn't
believe it either. Then Rick said something about what the
replacement will be.

No air bags? I was behind an old lady going down 441 in a regular TB, she lost it and went in the trees. Broke the pass side wheel off, no airbags came out.

Sorry to see such a nice truck meet such a terrible fate..... it is good to see that you held up OK though.

I do have a question though..... the impact looks severe enough for an airbag deployment, but they didn't???? I wonder why that is?

It probably hit a bunch of different things from the looks of it. Those multiple hits progressively slowed the vehicle down.

It had something with the truck hitting the tree at a angle.
The computers are able to detect how and where you are
sitting, speed and passengers, in a split second, before
they deploy.

Thats weird I've never ever seen a dual front airbag equipped vehicle blow one airbag because there was no passenger.

The TB I seen was a direct hit with a 10" diameter pine tree, it bent over almost 45 degrees and sprung back up. Front wheel and hub broken clean off.
Thats an airbag problem right there.

I know two people who had accidents where their head impacted the windshield, leaving it looking like that. In both cases they required stitches. I doubt that was your cranium if you show no signs of damage.

But maybe you drive around with a helmet on, I couldn't say LOL

I know in my Express work van, there is a airbag light for the passenger and it reads OFF until someone is sitting in that seat, then it switches to ON. I'm sure most of GM's newer vehicles are like this.

Glad you came out of the accident alright, that vehicle looks quite horrid.
