No, actually it came along with those idiot northerners who brought it down with them.

Seriously, most idiots I come across either have the NY/NJ/IL plates or have that Bronx or Boston accent.

I have notice some improvements since the snow birds left.

This is one reason I installed a train horn on my Av. It makes those trying to cut you off think twice.

No truer words have been spoken! Since we've been down here, finding quality people to hang out with is nearly impossible - especially in St. Lucie county. Unless you're into doing Meth or getting arrested, this isn't the place for good people. My wife and I are chomping at the bit to get out of here. Hopefully we're heading to Texas or somewhere out West.

The only place we've lived where people are half-way decent is in Tampa.

Yeah, half the people here are complete *****. A few weeks ago at the gas station some lady had a flat on her minivan and was with her kids. I offered to change her tire for her. She said I'd probably put a scratch in her precious dented up van. Here I am trying to be a nice guy and help out this woman and her kids, but no go. Oh well, it was like 90 that day and her kids were annoying as hell lol.

I think the richer you are the faster you become a *******. I'm just basing this on that 6 months ago my office started taking on Pinellas jobs. People in the rich part of town, around Clearwater are a lot more rude, and general ********. Most customers are great, but it seems that when we had northern routes everyone was nice. People that live on the beach seem to get quite testy.

I think it is more a result of heavier and heavier traffic. I heard the other day that Orlando has topped LA for some of the worst traffic in the nation. The problem with Orlando is that there is no real rush hour. There are times when its heavier, but for the most part there is no rhyme or reason to the traffic. One day its in one place at one time the next it is a completely differant time and place. And the traffic can sometimes be at 4pm and other days 4am.

I seldom see out of state vehicles acting like asses. They do stupid things because they are perpetually lost in the Disney area, but rarely do they get crazy. I put 50k miles a year on my company Caravan, so I see it all.

Yeah Orlando traffic is retarded. Why can't it flow? Hell there was traffic at midnight last Friday when I was headed home from the track, WTF?!

Best city I have ever driven in traffic wise was San Fransisco. Its never backed up there, no matter what time of day.

I was maybe 10 miles from Bithlo last Friday, took like 30-45 minutes to get there, thats just horrific. When I have to work down south traffic sucks on the west coast here too. Takes me a hour and a half to cover 35 miles.

I like those ideas Jacob, and maybe for once punish people that get DUI's!!! Why the hell are there people driving around that have had 3 DUI's?? I say if you get one, you're fucked, no drivers license. Ever, and if caught driving due to no license due to DUI, instant jail time. There was a cop on 41 almost killed, jeep stuck her cruiser, bitch that hit her had like 2 DUI's or some ****, and drunk for this incident too. Drunk drivers **** me off.

You gotta watch how strong you make a law. The DUI law for first offenders is pretty strong. You imediately lose your lisence, and it is extremely hard to fight. OK great, if you are really arrested for a ligit DUI. If you just get some jackass rookie, over zealous cop, you are screwed. Trust me I know. You then have to prove you were not drunk and its your word against his. Even if you blow under the legal limit and all the sobriety tests are given on an uneven cobblestone road, and he says he arrested you because you held the door when you got out of the car when you had to hold the door so it wouldnt hit the ground because the road was so uneven. Then the cop forces your drunk buddy passed out in teh back seat drive home.

So til there is a better way to tell if someone is drunk than the cops judgement call, the law cant be trusted and is dangerous to all of our freedom. Far too strong. It took me over a year to get my lisence back and over $10,000 only to have them finally drop the charges in the end.

I was speeding, yes, but not drunk. Incidently I lost my job over this too. I was an auto mechanic and could no longer test drive cars without a lisence, so was fired. So the $10,000 was only what I spent, not what I lost in all.

First offenders, if ligit, should be punished harshely and second and third for sure. But watch out for making a law too powerful with no real way to confirm other than some jerks opinion.

Actually it's the opposite, northerners (under 60) are WAY better drivers then what I have seen in Florida. Right after I moved here I noticed how nobody signals, idiots drive in the left lane on 95 doing 65, and I've never seen so many people run red lights. I've driven in 12 states, Florida by FAR has the worst drivers.

Just gotta watch out on the road guys!

Holy **** you should be Governor! Driving in Miami is just as bad if not worse than everywhere else. Every other car is a person that can't speak a word of english, that just got here from some country, got their license the following day after arriving (don't know how the ****), and they are already talking on the cell phone while swerving because they have no idea where they are going. The other day i switched lanes because of a slow moving van, and some young kids in a mustang inched up about to come out of the shopping center. Had i seen them i wouldn't have switched, but as i pass them the kids honking out of his ******* mind and waving his hands at me. I just smile and wave Nowadays anyone can get a license, and its pretty fucked up to think that most of the people that have licenses don't even belong in this country. That and you got old people that can't drive for ****, taking up a lane while driving 25mph under the limit.

as far as DUI's go...you get one...you get one more chance...if you get caught again...you should NEVER get your license back...someone dieing is more important then your privelage to drive...

also should give people tax credits for the less they drive...have them send in their mileage at the beginning of the year...if they can keep there vehicle under 10k 15k whatever miles they get a credit...this would be made up eventually by the less wear on the roads, less gas used, and the lesser chance of wrecks which draws on state resources...car pool, take the bus, buy a bike....helps keep dumbasses off the road to

Not having a DL means nothing. People have their license suspended all the time but it does not stop the turds from driving their car...with no insurance I might add.
Just my opinion but somone can break into 50 cars and pawn 15 stolen items and they will get less time in jail than a DUI.

Agreed, first DUI is a crapshoot, judgement call, but if you get a second, chances are its gonna be ligit.

Now you say that peopel that drive more should be taxed more(essentially thats what tax credits are, because it was proved allready that if you lose tax revenue in one fashion, the government wont adjust spending, just tax us another way)

By taxing people that drive more, like lets say for a living, like I do, 50k a year, that would cripple a lot of business. Not only that, you would then have a huge concentration of people living in the areas where there are jobs. Those areas couldnt keep up with the roads or any other general services because those people that live there wouldnt be paying as much tax, or they are getting a "tax credit" for not driving as much.

Not only that, why do we always fall back on government to fix all our problems. I mean look at the expressway authority. The East West expressway was privately funded. The tolls were to pay off the road. Once paid off the tolls were supposed to be gone. BUT instead the government took over and raised the tolls. And look at how corrupt the expressway authority is. Now look at the side of I-4. I passed a retention area yesterday with chain link fence all around it, and there were a bunch of construction vehicles over there, and to do what-----wait for it-----planting pretty flowers. IN THE DAMN RETENTION AREA???? WHY??????????? Our wasted tax money hard at work. I have bought plants like the ones they were planting, and it wouldnt surprise me if that little patch of bushes in a RETENTION AREA, cost the tax payers in the area of $10,000 including the vehicles, tractors, workers etc. And we all know how frugle the government can be. No instead they cut teachers and firefighters, but the beautification of a RETENTION AREA goes on!!!!!!!!!

Sorry a little off topic, but.................higher taxes for drivers that drive more is not the answer. And I see the same cars pretty regularly on the road. It is the ones that dont normally drive the highways that usually cause the most problems, not the ones that drive everyday for a living, or drive more because of a long comute(like my wife). And we will never move closer to her work because the school board can send her anywhere in the county and I dont know about you, but I cant afford to buy another house every couple years. Not only that, I could never have what I have here in seminole county.

If felony DWLS was enforced as it should be, maybe it would make a difference.

You know more than half the population here is northerners. Just because they have a florida plate, that just means they live here and are not visiting.
