Disappointment In Fl Tuner

Not Gonna Name Any Names...

Just Pisses Me Off I Went To This Guy (we All Know) With A God Dam Base Tune From Tsp All I Wanted Was For Him To Do Was Make It 100% (As we All Know Mail Order Tunes Are Consertive) Once I Started Using Hp Tuners More In-depth It Turns Out He Neglected To Tune My Bad Maf Table And Instead Just Jacked My Pe Modifer To Command Afr Of 10...(which Gave Me The Proper Afr On The Dyno)

I Know Its Not The End Of The World But Hell I Paid Him Just To Fix Problems Like This...

Long Story Short I Have Spent The Time To Learn How To Wb Tune And Now Fixed It Myself In 1 Hour....

why dont you just post up in sponsor feedback...thats what its there for...and they should stand by there stuff...if they jacked it up or not...id let others know

What exactly was wrong with your maf?. Were th maf table messed up or soemthing?

The Maf Table Was Just Off.. I Was Using A Truck Maf And A Truck Maf Table But It Turns Out My Maf Reported Significantly Different From A Stock Truck Maf Table..

It Was An Easy Fix, But I Guess Not As Easy As Commanding A 10.x Afr To Get A 12.x

No clue as to who you are talking about, but it seems a lot of people are learning how to tune on there own now for reasons such as this.

This Was A Traveling Tuner.... As Far As Communicating With A Tuner.. I Havent

That Being Said, When The Tune Was Done Im Sure He Knew That He Was Putting A Bogus Pe Table In As A Band-aide... Anytuner Can Easily See That This Is Not One Of Those Mistakes You Can Just Make; You Have To Calculate This One

Think About It Guys He Had To Actually Back Calculate What Pe Would Give Me The Correct Afr Given My Jacked Maf Tabel... There Was Also A Few Other Oversihts That I Found To Be Dumb Given The High Regard To Which Some Of Our Memebrs Give .....

In The End, It Was A Easy Fix Since I Have Hpt Software But Most People Would Just Drive Arrond Unknowingly

Im waiting on masport's efi tuning book, I heard that if you already have a tuning program and the book, your set. I had Masport tune my car 1 year ago and gained 32hp. Best $ I ever spent.

At least he didn't blow it up trying to squeeze the last few HP out of it like so many have had happen....but it's never his fault. Lot's of good proven tuners on here with there own shops & dyno's that respect each other & the customers.

Well there are only so many traveling tuners in FL. I can think of one but I dont think he would have done what the poster said was done to his maf.

This belongs in the feedback forum. Create a post there, but before you do I'd try and communicate with the tuner before airing the problem. As you mentioned you didn't talk to him since the tune, and I know most of the shops that have spoken up so far stand by their work so if there was a problem and you let them know they would work with you on it.

Also, I wouldn't go PM'ing anyone on the tuner's name until you at least try and speak with him/her and resolve the issue.
